The campground (CG) was super easy to find as it was right off I-40 on old Route 66. Our check-in could not have been easier, and the reception was very nice. There are 18 FHU sites here, with half being for long-termers on the west side and short-term pull-throughs on the east side. We were given an option of several sites and chose site 17. We had to disconnect and park on the side of this gravel site. The Wi-Fi speed was 3.32 for Download and 2.35 for Upload, which worked okay. We got 3 bars on Verizon. Due to the expected freeze warning, we did not hook up to the water or sewer. There are a few trees in the CG so getting a clear shot for satellite is easy. The old caboose, the Hwy 66 hotel mural, and the ducks around the pond were a nice touch. They had a shower house and laundry, but we did not use them. Heads up that we got diesel at the exit a couple of miles west of the campground, and that was the most expensive price we experienced in CA at $6.69/gallon last January.

Hostess and her family were super polite, the facility is clean and tidy, and the duck pond is a trip! The bathrooms were fresh and clean, hot water was a blessing. Noise from the I-40 may be an issue if you’re looking for complete silence at night but we didn’t mind. Pets are welcome, we paid $50 for the night and would happily stay here again.

Very nice clean park. Level gravel sites. Two small ponds, pool, clean restrooms. Owners very nice and helpful and take great pride in making your stay a good one. Some road noise from highway but did not bother us. Night sky was beautiful as was the lights reflecting off the ponds. Would definitely recommend staying.

All gravel level spaces, clean pool, two duck ponds, the pull throughs are not over long, but my 52' overall rig fit without having to unhook.
Easy access from either direction on I-40. Highway and railway noise is there, but it wasn't a concern since we were running the AC anyway ;-)

We used this place as an overnight stop. We arrived after the posted office hours but they came right out to get us checked in. They were having some issues with their phone system so it wasn't working at the time - they've since updated their number. Mountain views were nice at the end of a long drive day. No issues with low voltage despite everyone running their A/C's.
There was some road noise from the highway but it wasn't audible over the A/C's. You might have to unhitch your tow vehicle depending on the spot and how long you are, we were on the edge.
TMobile coverage with a roof mounted Pepwave antenna was good with speeds of 30mbps down/6 up. ATT was 36/11.

It’s right on the freeway, it’s very noisy. It didn’t bother us because we have a fan. Our site was next to the water. Nice view.

We stayed 2 nights jan 2022. We are Greeted with a smile and an easy efficient check in. Christine , the manager is caring and accommodating making sure you have the accommodations you need for your rig. Two fishing ponds are peaceful and the freeway might be close but we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. We enjoyed seeing the trains in the distance and watching the ducks. We did not use their outdoor accommodations so have no opinion. Long level clean sites. We will definitely stay here when traveling thru Newberry Springs.
