When I came across this group of five campgrounds above Lake Pillsbury, I decided to check them out as a quick two or three day off grid get-away.
Navy Camp PG&E Campground is paved with stone and pylons enclosing the pavement making it feel tight. The individual sites are angled for easy backing in. All but a couple would fit my 29 footer easily. As the sites are narrow I would need to be a bit choosy, if I pulled my dinghy. The pit toilets are clean and evenly spread around the campground. Fresh spring water can be had beside each toilet unit. No dump or electricity nor Cell service of any kind. The lake water is about a half mile walk from the shore.
