Overall Rating
When I came across this group of five campgrounds above Lake Pillsbury, I decided to check them out as a quick two or three day off grid get-away.
Sunset Point Campground is paved with stone and pylons enclosing the pavement making it a tight fit. The individual sites are not angled for easy backing in. Most are almost perpendicular to the road. This makes them good for only pickup campers or Van conversions. There was only one site I would have tried to back my RV into and it was two feet too short. The other loop in Sunset is tents only. The pit toilets are clean and evenly spread around the campground. Fresh spring water can be had beside each toilet unit. No dump or electricity nor cell service of any kind. The lake water is about a half mile walk from the shore.
