Quite a few cars go by all day to do 4x4 on the upper part of Last Dollar Road, but not bad.
Lots of Mountain View’s and you can see the planes going in and out to the airport (very small planes and far away so not much of a noise problem).
Not very level so bring blocks. It can get ugly if rainy. I had to use 4x4 to leave w the trailer since it rained all night.

Coming out of Telluride you’ll take the road to the right going to the airport just before the roundabout. This is a paved road you will see the sign in a couple of miles for the airport immediately take the right again. This is now a dirt road. The road winds around going up hills and into the valleys and climbs. The last mile the road narrows it gets a little more steep and a little more rough but class A’s in class sees and truck campers will not have a problem if the road is not quit. Now for the good part the cell service is awesome and you don’t need a booster. The views are spectacular. At the top of the road there’s a little flat area where about 10 RVs can park at random and going up into the woods pass this there is another area that may be one or two can park. Hope this helps!

This is a dreamer's dreamland, soaked in an easy, barely-washboard-at-all dirt road to an overlook where most any sized RV could fit, and towel dried with spurs that range from reasonably doable for most 2WD vehicles (the first right once you get to the overlook) or crazy cartoon up-and-downers best suited for those of you who jack up the tires and have shovels bolted on to the outside of your rigs.
Our spot was up that first road, not the full distance to the GPS coordinates but probably about halfway from the overlook to there. Avalanche rockslide wonderland views and crazy good AT&T service to boot, I would live here for the max stay, go somewhere else, and come max stay it out again as much as possible if Telluride wasn't so ridiculously expensive (we're talking $5.50 iced coffees and $18 hamburgers).
