The visitors center/check in has a small store with mainly beverages and some snacks. There is a bike repair station complete with water and tools. The day use area is at the top has stunning views, clean bathrooms, frisbee golf, shelter, and picnic areas. There is no noise here outside of what is going on in the park and a rare airplane overhead. The night sky is brilliant. Firewood and Ice is available at each loop, $5 and $3 respectively. Cell service was solid throughout the park with AT&T.
I did not use the horse or cabin sites, but a drive through told me the area was very clean and beautiful.
Not all sites have shade or direct sun, use google earth to pic your preference. There are no showers in the RV loop I stayed at.

We stayed for 4 nights the first week of November. Stub Stewart is a gem of a state park and we would highly recommend staying here, especially if you’re a disc golfer. There’s three courses on property: a full 18-hole moderate-to-difficult course, a 9-hole beginner course, and a hidden 3-hole mini-course. Playing them — and taking a hike through the park’s extensive network of trails — was the highlight of our stay.
All of the sites in both loops are well-maintained and fairly level. We didn’t use the facilities, so we can’t offer comment on them. Wood sold by way of machine and then tracking down a human to exchange the ticket, but the machine wouldn’t take cash and the camp host lady wasn’t helpful (or particularly pleasant).
Full hook-up site was great for our needs. No issues. Easy enough drive down out of the park to get to Buxton and the rest of the Tualatin Valley. Our T-Mobile (cell) had decent strength and AT&T-based hotspot streamed video perfectly.

It's a very big Campground, with many loops to choose from. Not a bad site...You better have reservations in the busy time of the year. Its inland a few miles so it's off the drippy, wet coast. Which we liked.
Campfires were allowed again as they've had a couple of good rains in these parts. The only bummer was, all the showers were closed due to covid. Highly recommended!

Site 88 provided us with 50 amps of clean power and full hookups. AT&T and Verizon strength was moderate, but fully supported streaming video. The park is just off Oregon 47 and there was a little highway noise noticeable in the morning - but not in the least obnoxious. We will seek out chances to stay here in the future.

The site are very large, clean, and well spaced. There is great access to a large trail system, some of them paved. It was quiet even with being at full capacity.

The site we choose was farely secluded by the number of trees surrounding the site. We would definitely try for site 002 again. Walked some trails but beware very hilly.

We stayed in the Dairy Camp East Loop which was a tad smaller (35 versus 43) than the West Loop. All pads are at least 50 foot long. The sites at each loop are full hookup with a picnic table and fire pit. Each loop feature hot showers, flush toilets and a camp host to answer questions and sell firewood. There is also a wonderful horse camp loop with13 sites, each with full hookups.
The park offers 25 miles of trails for biking and hiking, a mix of challenging to easy. There is also an 18 hole disc golf course that winds it way through the forest. For pet owners, there is a huge fenced dog run area near day use area.
Verizon cell phone coverage was very good and our hotspot worked fast. Park is close to the town of Vernonia for any shopping needs, but also a short and easy drive to Portland.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds, and that's saying a lot because Oregon has some very good state and city campgrounds. This was our 2nd visit as we passed through 4 years ago and were determined to make it back for a longer stay.
We stayed in the West area and had plenty of room for our 45ft. The one-way loop roads are in perfect condition. The site has a large square area next to the RV with fire ring and table. 50A hookups worked fine. We are surrounded by trees and the large space between sites is filled with trees and shrubs.
The AT&T/Verizon signal is excellent, I stayed on AT&T which has a tower 3 miles away and gave a rock-solid stable signal the whole time.
The dogs loved it! There are chipmunks and, on several occasions, deer all around the RV. The walks are on excellent condition trails and well documented. We walked the 200 yds to the trails most days and loved the wooded walks.
