We spent two nights here (Fri & Sat) on our way home from the Washington coast. It's a very lush park with mature evergreen and deciduous trees throughout. The Nehalem river lazily bounds the park with sites 2 - 6 overlooking the river. The remaining sites are fairly close together but with so many trees it still feels like you're out in the woods. The bathrooms are dated but clean and functional. During the weekend there were a lot of families so it's a little noisy with people just enjoying being outside.
There's not a lot to do in the area; Vernonia is about 15 minutes away which provides some cycling and hiking options.
No AT&T service on either an iPhone or the Pepwave. Verizon was serviceable with the help of the WeBoost.

This is just down the road from our house which made it a good place to do our beginning dry run in June we stayed a few to days to figure out what I’d forgotten to put back into the trailer from the winter.
I would suggest if you’re not used to driving your rig to stick to the first few into the park. They are more set up for larger rigs and RVs anyway. Toward the south side there are a few tight corners and the spaces are shorter.
As our rig is set up for 220 we couldn’t plug in but we had electric and water at our site.
I put 22-23 because we were at the last one butting up against the road but 23 doesn’t show the individual driveway we had. Personally I think the map is catiwompous. Restrooms were clean didn’t use the showers but were happy to see them and if we decide to go again we’ll use them.
We actually usually just head to Tillamook Forest but with all the camping that had been happening there, there were field mice everywhere last time. So we chose to stay in the county park.
We stayed during the week so it wasn’t very crowded.

There are only a few full hook-up sites and several other with water and electric. The roads through the camp might be a little tight for large rigs. (we pulled a 26' with little problems)
The only negative for the park was the placement of the utilities on our pull through site. They were at the top of the site near the road. If you pull in so that they are on the drivers side, they are so far forward that it is difficult to plug in and keep your tow vehicle in front of your trailer. Even then, I had to almost rest the tongue on the ground to level the trailer.
I would definitely stay here again, but in a different site.

This is a small county campground that is very quiet except for an occasional log truck passing on nearby Hwy 47. The park is bordered by Hwy 47 on one side and the Nehalem River on the other. The park has 10 full service sites and the remaining sites are water and electric. All sites are paved with a fire pit and picnic table. The restrooms are nice, clean and heated. We had a 33 foot travel trailer and there is a least one tight turn that takes some careful maneuvering to avoid several large trees.
There are some pull through sites however they accommodate at least two campers, great if camping with another camping partner. There is a small boat ramp but only for launching very small boats or kayaks. Limited river access and river is low and slow in this area most of the time, fall and winter the river floods due to heavy rain.
Park is covered with trees and shade, large grassy area for playing outdoor games. Small little playground, horseshoe and day use area also. Nice place for kids on bikes within park as very little car traffic and easy to see kids in the park. Park host on site, firewood available for purchase.
It is about 7 miles from Vernonia Oregon, nice little town. In town is Vernonia Lake, nice lake for fishing for trout and warm water fish. Lake has a boat ramp, electric motor boats only. There is a daily $5.00 use fee at the lake.

Spent two nights in this peaceful and quiet campground. Nice sized sites with smooth flat paved pads. Large play field and quick river access. Not great for swimming but if you plan out a float down the Nehalem I’m sure it would be worth it! Moderate mosquitos due to river proximity and time of year (early July). Facilities were nicely kept. The sign at the entry showed a wine glass with a cross through it suggesting a no-alcohol policy but it wasn’t enforced and we were across the drive from the host Jack. Strict leash policy. Decent playground for the kids. No hiking and relatively small campground. About 15 minutes outside of Vernonia. Some sites very hard to pull into due to trees. Our sewer connection was forward of normal and we needed two extensions to make the distance.
