We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Arches NP and Moab. It was a rocky ride for the first mile or so but the road became more graded as we drove to our site. Great basecamp for exploring Moab and the Arches! The only downside was how dusty it was at our site since we were so close to the road.

We enjoyed our stay here. The other reviews seem to cover all the details so I won't rehash anything. I posted a link to a YouTube video of our spot in the blog section. Some traffic and dust from inconsiderate people who don't slow down on the road. I try to slow down my Jeep by campsites and people walking/running/biking on the road.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the road was a little busy with mountain biking traffic.

Spent a long weekend here in what was probably the 6th-7th site past the turn for the trailhead - we were right across the road from some old ruins (someone posted they may have been from an old movie set?). Am kicking myself for not taking pictures of the campsite itself, but did get a few of the views from the campsite - which were very nice. Had 3-4 bars 4G Verizon pretty consistently from our site. We were two RV's/campers and two tents - and this site could have easily accommodated several more. Nearest campsites were a good distance - so it was pretty silent the entire time we were there. Windy one day (expect some dust to creep in out here), but got perfectly still when the sun set. And the stars & views of the Milky Way were super. Could ride our bikes right from the campsite to the trailhead for the Klondike Bluffs trails. Not too far from downtown, either. As someone said - the first 1/10 to 1/4 mile of road from 191 were a bit rough, but otherwise, aside from a few rocks, easy to navigate with our 25' trailer. They were even grading the road again on the day we left - so the drive out was even smoother.

I didn't have very good reception from my site with my AT&T Mobley - it cut in and out, but the other gal in the same site had great reception with Verizon. I had no problem from my friends' site (three closer to the highway).

Getting in and out of the area from the main road takes some patience and TLC, but worth it. You must drive carefully and slowly, and if you have a tow car, we highly suggest unhitching once you pull off the main road before going any further in upon arrival. There are some pot holes along the dirt road - and it's ALL dirt and rocks - someone does come out RARELY (only once while we were there) to smooth as much of it out as possible. If it's raining, wait it out before doing any driving involving your rig or vehicle that isn't equipped for such terrain and prepare for the roads to get rough once people start driving on it afterwards (mainly dirt bikes and atv's - they wreck the roads once smoothed).
This is the desert, so accept and mentally prepare to get everything dirty and dusty - from the exterior of your vehicles to dust layered all over the interiors, it WILL happen.
There are endless amounts of single, double and wide open spaces for numerous rigs to camp. Everyone has more than enough personal space to set up camp, some spots are significantly further from the next.
You can always expect locals to come out for the weekend to camp, play and party, most of which have toys (dirt bikes and atv's) - you will hear them, see them AND welcome their uninvited dirt into your home. It's simply the nature of the beast when you boondock in the desert.
Overall, we did really enjoy staying here. We were able to get plenty of work done with great service from Verizon (we only used one of our cell phones as a hotspot). The trek in and out to get to anything was the only taxing part, but we also chose to go further in to get more views and there were A LOT of people already set up in the first half of the area.
We were able to meet some great people while there and had friends join us as well, everyone is pretty much neighborly and respectful. Would definitely return, but only when the weather is ideal!

The spots are very well spaced out and aside from the jeep/ATV traffic on the road during the day, the sites feel very private. You also get to watch the sky diving company do their jumps all day long when it is nice out, we could even here them screaming on the way down!
Verizon 4G LTE was rock solid and very usable during our stay here. Litter was miraculously extremely low which is always nice to see in an area like this.
