Where do people shower when staying here longer term? Seems like planet fitness in Coachella is the closest?

As others have noted, this is a great boondocking location. Right off the freeway at the South entrance to Joshua Tree NP. There are plenty of spots, and while I was here everyone was spread out and friendly. Very quiet at night with a little freeway noise. Always a nice breeze.

We stayed here twice, once in March and in April, lots of other boondockers but the area is quiet, campsites are far from each other enough for privacy.

Perfect free sites right outside the south entrance to the park. Fair warning a lot of big groups like to meet here and party. Fell asleep listening to 2 guys in a screaming match about a beer pong rule

Such a beautiful location with great cell coverage. There are lots of dispersed sites on either side of the main road, and most have man made fire pits. We camped in a Friday night and all evening people kept arriving, but having gotten there earlier in the afternoon we had a bunch of sites to choose from to get some privacy. Lots of partiers, but no one was out of control. Although it was windy as hell during the night and it rocked our motorhome hard enough to wake me up.

We found this site very easily and quickly after exiting the park, arrived around 6pm and there was plenty of space. Overall really pretty spot and easy to access!

Honestly you couldn't be any closer to the park entrance on the south side then staying here. There is a lot more space here then in the park where you have to squeeze your rig in and pay for it. There is a dump and water fill in the park. Suggestion stay here and dump there. Since we have a dog there were only 3 trails we could do in the park so we looked for other trails. We found Painted Canyon which was beautiful and ride there was as scenic as driving through the park. The campsite was quiet and beautiful at night. Fair warning don't drive over the fire pits. Previous folks apparently burned pallets and left behind a ton of nails. Also there are no facilities so if you are not self contained, or have a way to manage your human waste please find someplace else to camp. Oh and if you are pulling in at 5:00 AM don't use someone else's spot for a turnaround or try to squeeze in. Cell service was amazing.

We are heading to N-CA from Phoenix area. This is only 200 miles along the way but a nice free spot 2mikes off I10. The camping is just before the South entrance to Joshua Tree. Hoping for stars tonight

Way better than the Joshua tree north site.
No privacy which is just how the desert works. Good sites. Mostly in a wash so sandy and a bit deep in some places so be careful and all wheel drive is a must.
Quiet but was busy.
