When folks say "not very level" here, what do they mean? A couple extra blocks, or can't get the rig level at all?

For a spot without hookups, this is a very nice campground! The roads are freshly paved asphalt and mostly pull through spaces! There are restrooms, community water faucet, nice hiking trails, trash cans and picnic tables. Very lovely wooded setting! We only stopped one night while exploring the parkway, but would definitely return!

Very nice campground, paved roads right off the parkway. Flush toilets. Didn’t explore much because it was raining.

Similar to the other Trace campgrounds it is free with flush toilets and few other amenities. This has a water point unlike Rockey springs. We stayed here for the work week on our two week drive up the parkway. Quiet and clean... mostly. Previous campers left some food-trash behind that the dogs found, but otherwise everything else was great. Make sure to have fuel (and propane) as the nearest places are 45 minutes away.

Arrived late afternoon in early April and there were only 3 campsites left. Water was not turned on at any of the spigots. We would have stayed longer but it was raining and the forecast was for more rain so we just stayed 1 night. There was also a group of people staying there that appeared to be "homeless" in the sense that they did not choose to live out of their truck. They were pulling a trailer full of "garbage" and were burning it. This made us feel uncomfortable but certainly don't think that is the norm in this campground. Driving the Trace was lovely and very grateful a Canadian family recommended it to us.

We arrived at 3pm and had no problem finding a nice pull- through spot and did not even have to pull out any leveling blocks.
I took advantage of the short hiking trail to a high point on the Trace, to get some exercise in after riding all day. Perfect!

While driving the Natchez Trace Parkway we enjoyed an overnight stop at this free campground. It was very convenient right off the parkway with 20 or so pull-thru sites. No hook-ups, but there is a bathroom with running water. There's also a nice hiking trail that starts at the campground and climbs up to a view point. The only negative is that the sites are very, very sloped and hard to get level.

“Primitive C/G sites along the Trace. Heavily wooded NF campsites in a major historical area.”

The NF does a good job with well spaced primitive campsites along the Trace.
Along with a good place to stay for the night (or however) there are many hiking trails connected to the C/G and more nearby.

We had planned to stay at Jeff busby cg as we traveled north bound on the trace. I would say that the sights are not big rig friendly but we could have fit our 37 foot class A motor home. As others have mentioned, the sights are not terribly level but we could have made it work. Our decision not to stay was based on the number of homeless staying there. It honestly didn’t feel safe so we listened to our gut feeling and kept on going.
