When folks say "not very level" here, what do they mean? A couple extra blocks, or can't get the rig level at all?

Small wooded campground, bathroom building with flush toilets. Great hiking trail up to Little Mountain. Very convenient location if you are following the Natchez Trace Parkway.

It was a beautiful area with bathrooms and water fountains. Sites were really long, a lot of pull throughs. Paved but not the most level. Only didn’t give it 5 stars because I’m not sure if people dump animals there? There’s at least 5 cats that call the campground home and are clearly well fed by campers coming through. They were very sociable and sweet. On our second day there a random mama dog appeared. She was also very sweet and friendly with our dogs. We fed her and called one of the local shelters to come pick the dog up and were told no one services the area. We didn’t want to take her in case she had puppies nearby. We spoke with a ranger there and he said he would put in a call about her. Having to leave the area without being able to be of any help to the animals definitely broke our hearts a bit.

Tmobile and Verizon both have signal here. Quiet night except for the bobcat that attacked a small creature under my motorhome. That’s a terrifying sound at 10 pm .

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #6, an E/W, BI site for no charge. Roads and sites are asphalt. The roads are a little tight, but I just drove very slow. The layout is a little odd in places. I drove the entire campground and then circled back as the first site I chose had a huge water puddle right where my front door ended up. Most sites would not accommodate my trailer due to trees being right at the edge of the pavement, a tight curve, or a shared entrance/exit that could have been blocked if they were occupied by another longer rig. I chose #6 cause the door would be on the picnic table side rather than the road side. The bathhouse was clean and had flush toilets which was a surprise for a free, FCFS park. I was expecting vault toilets. I had no cell service, wifi or OTA channels. There was some road noise, but it was very quiet at night. The park was generally empty by 10 am and started to fill up around 3:00. It was never totally full while I was there, but it was early in the season. I would definitely stay here again.

Some are right next to each other; others are lined up in a row. Most are pull through. Most are not level. Ours had a firepit but no picnic table. It is set among mature tress and was quiet. The bathrooms were very clean, with running water but no showers. There are no hookups here, and no dump station. It is entirely dry camping. But for the price, you can't really complain. I would stay here again.

Someone lost a gray cat with green eyes and rings around its tail. It’s still here January 2022 kind of skittish and comes through the front sites a couple times a day. So if you come back for them you will prob see them.

This campground on the Natchez Trace Parkway offers all paved pull-through sites with fire pits, tables and lantern hangers. No hookups, but there is a restroom with flush toilets. Sites can be confusing as they are really unmarked, and many sites turn out to have multiple layers of pull throughs, and some pull throughs actually serve 2 sites. Some minor traffic noise from the hardly-trafficked NTP. Most of the noise is from the heavy equipment at the adjacent Choctaw county landfill, covering the days garbage. Lots of back up alarms and tracked dozers clanking across the ground. Not quite tanks pushing through the Ardennes, but close, lol. All in all it’s a great spot for a nite or two.

We had planned to stay at Jeff busby cg as we traveled north bound on the trace. I would say that the sights are not big rig friendly but we could have fit our 37 foot class A motor home. As others have mentioned, the sights are not terribly level but we could have made it work. Our decision not to stay was based on the number of homeless staying there. It honestly didn’t feel safe so we listened to our gut feeling and kept on going.
