"Off the beaten path!"

It's not often we get to be the first to review a campsite here on Campendium, but in an effort to visit as many different National Forests as possible we just couldn't pass up a chance to see the Samuel R. McKelvie National Forest in... Read more

"FREE"

Buy propane and/or gas and the dump/potable water is free. The dump is two sided but the water is on the opposite side against the building. So it's a bit of a hassle to maneuver around in the tight space of the service area.

"Quiet and relaxing visit"

We were one of four travel trailers here this weekend. There were also two tent campers on site for Saturday night. Great little town of Elkhart is nearby and if you visit make sure to eat at "Big C's" Diner. P.S. Make sure you bring TP for the... Read more

"Quiet and clean."

We approached the campground from the east and traveled 23 miles down a long straight gravel road. For a gravel road it was in pretty good shape. Only one sandy patch and that was just before you arrive at the campground off the main road. We... Read more

We choose Site #4 for our visit as it is a long back-in site with water and electric hookups and great water views out the rear of our trailer where our dinette is. We arrived early on a Wednesday afternoon and there was no one else here, but... Read more

"WORST BATHROOMS EVER"

I'm not one of those people who intentionally only write bad reviews, but this place needs to come with a warning. We selected this County Park strictly due to it's location. We like to do cave tours and Crystal Lake Cave is only 4.5 miles from... Read more

"JUST OUT SCOUTING"

We were camped at the nearby Richland Dam Rec Area and decided to come check out this option for a future visit. At the beginning of the lakeshore there is room for three larger trailers or motorhomes. After that there are a couple of large ruts... Read more

TWO PEAS AND THE POD: DEVIL'S HOPYARD STATE PARK (CT)

With just 22 sites, no running water or electric, and only pit toilets on site, this isn't much of an RVer's destination campground. It is better suited for tent campers and weekend getaways. We onl...
