“Great boondocks location!”

Reviewed Jun 13, 2019

We pulled into the park about 1:00 pm on a Thursday and found only 3 sites filled. After reading all reviews of uneven sites, we grabbed the first site on the left where we were able to level for the night. A walk around the campground revealed about five sites that work with a longer rig. I think the magic is to get into the park earl... more

“Good bathrooms but unlevel sites”

Reviewed Mar 17, 2019

Overall Rating

We agree with all the other reviews here and second the thought that this campground is better suited to smaller rigs. It's not because the sites aren't large enough or access is difficult, it's because they are very hard to get level in a larger rig.

We visited this campground on 03/15/19.

“Well-Maintained! Great Dry Camping!”

Reviewed Mar 05, 2019

Overall Rating

For a spot without hookups, this is a very nice campground! The roads are freshly paved asphalt and mostly pull through spaces! There are restrooms, community water faucet, nice hiking trails, trash cans and picnic tables. Very lovely wooded setting! We only stopped one night while exploring the parkway, but would definitely return!

Very nice campground, paved roads right off the parkway. Flush toilets. Didn’t explore much because it was raining.

Similar to the other Trace campgrounds it is free with flush toilets and few other amenities. This has a water point unlike Rockey springs. Good cell signal with Verizon and att everything is pull through but kinda weird as several sites share a pull through. Works best for tents or small units we have a 21ft trailer and are all the wa... more

“Great stop, right in the middle of the parkway”

Reviewed May 26, 2017

Overall Rating

We stayed here for the work week on our two week drive up the parkway. Quiet and clean... mostly. Previous campers left some food-trash behind that the dogs found, but otherwise everything else was great. Make sure to have fuel (and propane) as the nearest places are 45 minutes away.

“Nice stop along a lovely parkway”

Reviewed Apr 21, 2017

Arrived late afternoon in early April and there were only 3 campsites left. Water was not turned on at any of the spigots. We would have stayed longer but it was raining and the forecast was for more rain so we just stayed 1 night. “Great, convenient stopover on the Natchez Trace!”

We drove the Trace from south to north and this campground was a perfect day's drive from Natchez, MS -allowing for some short stops along the way at some of the points of interest. While driving the Natchez Trace Parkway we enjoyed an overnight stop at this free campground. It was very convenient right off the parkway with 20 or so pull-thru sites.
