Reservations were easy on Campspot (Campendium). Check in was easy and we were driven to our spot. Our site was in a newer section so there was no cover but the older section was heavily wooded. The site was gravel but we could never get quite level. The sites are close. There was a nearby restroom but they charged for showers. There is a picnic table at every site. They only give you a fire ring if you ask for it. They have a nice pool but it closed in the fall. Antenna service was good. Camp WiFi was good. AT&T had 2 bars. The camp is close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but these are both over-rated. Even for leaf viewing this is not the place (promotional photos should be ignored). There is a free bus that comes to the camp that takes you to the Acadia Visitor Center from which you can catch buses to Bar Harbor or tour Acadia. Any attraction you can think of will be crowded and parking is impossible so use the bus. Cadillac Mountain is the only worthwhile site but requires additional paid admission and reservations. We drove onto the mainland to use a laundromat that was cheaper and had more capacity than the camp. Right across the street is a lobster shop with reasonably priced (for the area) lobster. Hadley’s Point beach is a good place to catch sunrise or sunset (just a few seconds behind Cadillac Mountain).

It was difficult to get the trailer level, even with the Andersen levelers as they pushed themselves into the soft ground under the weight of it. So they brought us a few boards to help level us out and that helped.
The hookups were located at the rear of the trailer. There was a pool and playground on site. They also had propane for sale for $4 per gallon.
We received 107 down and 11 up on Starlink. Verizon was 3 bars on the phone and 5 bars with our cell antenna. AT&T was at 3 bars with the cell antenna.

This is a great bar camp for exploring the Bar Harbor and Acadia NP . A free shuttle to town and to the park runs every few minutes. Kind of weird is that their brand new bathhouse has pay showers. The laundry was pretty expensive, three loads were $16.50.

We stayed here for 4 nights in early October of 2022. We had reserved online - a bit hard to tell what the sites would actually look like, but we weren't really here for the camping experience, we were here to meet my brother & see Acadia. Nice man in a golf cart escorted us to our site (thankfully as initially it felt like a hamster habitat). Once I walked it with a dog a bunch, I figured it out.
We had an electric & water site ($52 is expensive for that, but hey, it is Maine...) and luckily had nice neighbors. Sites are close to each other & not really designated - just back in on the grass where we were. The "firepit" is actually just a ring they set out in front of you. Dump station on the way out. Expensive laundry - I think it was $4 a load, so bypassed that. Some very cool tent sites. Bus stop for the free shuttle RIGHT in the campground! That was super worth it!

They are pretty strict about the 5MPH thing but at the same time the shuttles and work staff speed through here pretty fast. Lots of grandstanding and virtue signaling. Front office staff was nice. Great proximity to Bar Harbor to explore Acadia National Park.
Be sure to make the one hour drive out to Nervous Nellies for an unforgettable experience.

We camped in a 19' travel trailer. Hadley’s Point Campground is in a good location for getting around Acadia National Park. We stayed on site B-27. It was gravel and pretty level. We did have to level from side to side a bit. This is a wooded campground. It was sunny in the morning, shady in the evening. This is a nice wide site, backed up to trees. There were tent campers behind us that we could hear but not really see. We were across from a restroom, not a shower. The showers were still within walking distance up by the Camp Office. Restrooms and Showers were rustic but modern and kept clean. The showers are 50 cents for 7 minutes. They were hot right away and stayed hot even with others in use. It was plenty of time for a nice shower. The campground was very quiet after 9:30 pm and no street lights so it was also dark. Great for sleeping. The check in was very efficient and friendly. We originally were going to stay 2 days in Camden State Park on our way to Acadia; however, the state park called us on our way there to say that they had an infestation of brown moth caterpillars whose hairs are poisonous and cause hives that can last from days to weeks and also respiratory problems in some folks. They advised us to make other plans. We very much appreciated the heads up. We decided to go straight to Acadia. We were fortunate in that Hadley’s Point Campground had our reserved site, B27 open and available. We were glad to have the 2 extra days at Acadia.
Although there was no cell service, the campground WIFI worked great at our site.

“Greedy!”
noted 6/15/2023
Unfortunately, I need to cancel my reservation at Hadley's Point Campground. I gave them 15 weeks notice and they charged me $150.00 cancellation fee because it was over a Holiday Weekend (Columbus Day). Ok...I get that this is their policy, but with 15 weeks notice, and being the peak season of the year, they will re-book this site. I am very disappointed with their customer service.

FL“Extra $25 for an Electric Vehicle, Unfair!”
noted 5/19/2023
This campground implemented an additional $25 fee for electric vehicles. This is ridiculous when a big rig can use both a 30 and 50 amp service, with no additional fee. Completely unfair and not progressive. We tow our 16ft Airstream with our Tesla Y and have never been charged an exorbitant fee like this in addition to the regular fee to camp.
