"Nice campground near (enough) Acadia NP"

We stayed at Patten Pond because I could not get a reservation at Schoodic Woods in Acadia NP. Turns out that was a blessing, as "hurricane" Lee caused the NPS to close that campground and then we'd have been in a pickle. The first site they put us in, #327, was so sloped that our front jacks were out as far as they would go with 10" of blocks...

Arrived late October. No public showers or water available. Cell coverage one bar. Electric hookup off. Had to ask to turn on. No generators allowed. No smoking allowed. Spaces small and hard to access. No pull through spots.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #18, an FHU, BI site for $55/night. I loved my stay here primarily due to the owners, Tori and Jason and some of the other guests who were all friendly and helpful. This really felt like a small community. The RV park is close to beach and a great base to visit other parts of southern Maine. The park staff and super friendly and run a clean and quiet park. We will definitely stay here again. Highly highly recommended.
