“atrocious reservation system”

Then they were too busy to take the call. I can’t speak for the park, but we gave up after several attempts. Time for a new reservation contractor…additional fees going to state coffers not to the parks. CO - the new CA. non functional in every respect.

This is a stunning state park where they’ve done a lot of work to create beautiful sites with lovely views over the valley, nice trails, great services and an overall wonderful place to stay. All that and a full hookup too. Next time I hope we can stay a week.

We really enjoyed the state Park. We stayed during the snow storm and the roads were well plowed. Great amenities with laundry room.

Nice state park on a mountain with great views. No wifi, but we were able to connect to our hotspot. Spaces were clean, level and well spaced out.

Loved just about everything about this campground. It is well situated to all that Colorado Springs has to offer. The facilities are spotless, showers clean and great water pressure with plenty of hot water. The sites are raked gravel with concrete parking pad. There isn't much shade so it can get hot. Also, many sites have little privacy between neighbors, but they are well-placed apart. Our site, #26 in the Swift Puma loop was a full hook up and nice with scrub pines providing privacy between us and our neighbor, and with the RV backed in, we had our RV providing privacy on the opposite side.
Loved this campground.

The disadvantage is that there are no trees so not a lot of coverage from the sun. Your aircon will be on all the time. The wind! OMG! It's ruthless! Be careful with your awning and gazebos because they will break it.

The sites in the loop I was in all had full hookups. The sites weee also fairly private, spaced far apart and some had the landscape of the mountain between them. The view of the mountain is gorgeous as well plus a perfect view of the summertime sunrise. There was a little road noise from the nearby highway but hardly an issue overnight.
