The Beaver grocery store is five minutes away and has a good range of basic supplies plus a grill that I didn’t try out. Awesome home base for exploring the area.

We have a 35' fifth wheel and were fortunate to get one of the three sites that could accommodate us. We had a site that overlooked the river. There was a little road noise but it was not really a bother. The weather for the most part was spectacular with rain only on the day we left (we hear this is not typical for the area). Our firepit was full of coals and there was a bag of trash and two bags of clothes left in our site. We see this a lot in free campgrounds. You do need a Discovery Pass, though no one ever checked, at least while we were at the camper. Verizon cell was great and we were able to stream TV from a 4G hotspot.

Spent 3 nights here in our 35 foot travel trailer. We barely fit in the site, but the area was nice and quiet. A little road noise, but worth the easy access to 101. Loop was manageable with the trailer.

We require solar and starlink for work. There was no chance of that here so we didn't stay. It did seem beautiful, and there were picnic tables at each site, and a shared outhouse. No water that we could see. Sites seem fairly private.

We really enjoyed our quick stay at this awesome little DNR run campground yesterday. The 15 spaces are all very nicely spaced apart from each other. A Discover Pass is needed to stay here, and there is no nightly fee charged. There are no hookups here, but there is a pit toilet that we didn’t use. It’s a pack in, pack out area, so anything you bring in must go back out with you. Each space has a nice area with a picnic table and a fire pit. There’s a lot of beautiful trees and other greenery all around, and the Sol Duc River that runs right next to it and a small hike takes you down to it. We were in space #1 which has a nice clearing and great for our solar panels. We had plenty of space for our 26’ TT and our pickup truck. The only drawback for us was that since it’s right off the 101, you can hear road noise off and on throughout the day. We still plan on going back again for a longer stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bear Creek Campground, we will definitely be back again. It was quiet besides road noise here. A couple trails to walk on and pit toilets, we did not use pit toilets but we checked them out and they weren't clean (just a heads up). We loved how close it was to Sol Duc. First come first serve that Accepts the discovery pass. Most sites are small with maybe 4 that can handle 25+ trailers. No water, sewer or elect.

Great spots above the river with a good bit of privacy. There’s lots of trees and a short trail down to the river bank. Easy to get to. The pit toilets are relatively clean, but bring TP. It’s free, but a Discover Pass is required.
