“Great free camping area on the OP near Forks, WA”
Reviewed Sep 26, 2018
There are 2 specific campsites on this turnout, one that's small and one that's large. The small campsite is large enough for a truck camper and a tent or 2, but is also quite unlevel. The larger campsite is very large and pretty level and any size RV can fit here.
We thought the campsite with the lake nearby was absolutely beautiful, but we wish it was off the road more. Logging trucks drive by all the time and they sound like a jet taking off sometimes, but other than the road being right there this was an excellent base camp while exploring the area.
There is no trash collection and there are no toilets, please pack out what you pack in, don't leave a mess, and put your fires dead out. If there is a fire ban that does mean you can't have a fire here so be sure to check before hand.
Forks, WA is only 17 miles away, we dumped and filled our water at the U-Haul in Forks along with fueling and getting groceries but there is a gas station near Lake Pleasant Grocery with a Post Office next to it that offers General Delivery.
