The road coming in is currently being paved so you may have a slight delay. Fishing from shore was not worth it as it is very shallow by the shoreline.

There were a ton of mosquitoes and it is a ways out, but it was beautiful and quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a Momma deer and fawn visit us at our campsite. Beautiful place that invites many nature walks. Go up to. Rust also Creek Campground for a day trip as well.

Still working on the road, so you will get dirty. You may find some cell down by the lake. Decent solar. Justin lets latecomers camp in the boat parking lot. It's still a long way to the NP from here. Road work starts at 7. Some ATV traffic during the day.

Road work to the CG to be completed by the end of the summer. 15 minute delays.
Great Lake (Slide)for kayaking and paddle boarding.
Read the geology how the lake was formed on a pull out on the way
Hike to Grizzly lake further along the road.
Come by 9 to get a campsite. They will let you park in the boat launch area, ask Justin,!Dave next year.
Close to Teton National Park. If hiking in the park get there early early or there will be too many people. Also the earlier to see wild life.
With our booster we frequently had internet.

As others have mentioned the last part of the road does have potholes, but go slow and watch where you are going. I took my 20ft R-pod there with no problems. We secured a spot at 11am on a Monday in July, it filled shortly after. David the camp host was very attentive to his guests. He drove by several times to see if we needed anything, allowed people to camp in an overflow area we deemed the “corral” and genuinely cared about the campground. The lake and mountain views were incredible...I would 100% go back next time I’m in the area.

Love this little campground. Had planned to stay one night just passing through, but opted for a 2nd night because we didn’t want to leave. Arrived first night and campground was full - they very kindly let us stay over in the overflow parking/boat ramp parking lot. And bonus, told us who was expected to be leaving in the morning so that we could keep our eye out and nab a great spot. #16 is perfect, large spot, picnic tables and extraordinary view. Little bumpy coming up the road, mostly filled potholes, none swallowed us up. :) Totally worth the trek. Others mentioned it was quite far but I didnt feel like it was. Dry camping, mix of RVs and tents. Our RV was the largest here at 27’- but several spots could handle a 40-44 5th wheel in my opinion. You could at least turn around easily if you had to leave- just hope you don’t! Ask for David - this is his 4th summer running through campground as host, and he was a jem. Verizon service was on and off at one bar. Managed a few texts and a call. Don’t depend on it though. We have a government grade satellite dish, which is a godsend, Viasat 1 signal great.

I’ve stayed in the past here, met the same campground host this time, but my wife needed cell service so she could work. We have both Verizon and ATT and there is NO service whatsoever. Even at the highest campsite.
NOTE: There are two sites with water and electric, the camp host has one, the other is at the top of the hill. That site is $30. The senior rate is $7 for all the other sites.
Enjoy it now as if the road gets re-paved it won’t be such a quiet place anymore.

Couple miles of potholes but great campground. We pulled in around 7pm and very friendly host David got us settled in a great spot. Lots of families, felt very safe, beautiful water views.
