It should be noted that the spots are for 35' total combo length. The toilets were typical and the smell wasn't too bad. I'm picky about that. They had 3 toilet buildings but 1 had the men's out of order. There was 1 water pump which had a note that the water had not been tested and to boil before drinking. It was at the farthest point in the campground. It would have been nice to have at least 2 water stations.
There was a Day Use area with picnic tables and bbq station both in the trees and out.
There is suppose to be an OHV offload area but that was a joke. No OHVs allowed in CG. There is a marked area for ohv offloading but only room for 1 rig and if you aren't good at backing then it is not for you.
We stayed in Site 2 which I think was the only one with no picnic table. Otherwise they had fire pits and tables.
We had a 19 Ram LB with a 16' cargo trailer and were fine. We paid $5 since we have a pass.

We stayed overnight at this US forest service first come first serve campground south of Afton Wyoming. We found a level site for our 25 foot classy motorhome. Access road has some large chuckholes. Go slow…. No campground host. Pit toilets were clean and well stocked with TP. Beautiful atmosphere with minimal highway noise from US 98, except for big rig Jake brakes coming down the grade. No cell phone service. Old fashion hand pumps for water with warning sign advising boil or treat drinking water.

We arrived on a Tuesday and left on Friday. Only a couple of other campers, even in the middle of July.
A pleasant creek along the edge. There were many pull-throughs. Toe to heel on our TV/TT is 35'. There were plenty of sites to pick from. $10/nt; $5/nt with Parks Pass.
There was no host. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with TP. The listing on Campendium states there are showers, this is not the case.
One BIG item to consider: although listing say there is water, 1) the signs by the spicket say the water has not been tested and should be boiled before consuming. So don't show up empty on your water tanks. 2) it requires turning a hand pump. The sign says 25 revolutions before water will appear (true dat), and it is one hell of an arm workout to get the pump started.
Otherwise we will surely go back for a relaxing time. A nice, easy, short (1.5 mile out and back) hike at the end of the CG. Gorgeous. It is right off Hwy 89, but road noise was minimal, if even noticed.

Stopped for the night heading back to AZ from Yellowstone. Many good sites, but a tight squeeze for our 35-footer. Heavily treed, awesome green mountain range surrounding. Absolutely no service. We loved it!

Worth the stop. Overall nice camp ground. Campsites had mature trees and no sign of forest fire.

We were looking for a place to pull over on the way north through Wyoming and this place was empty, or should I say desolate? It was not kept up and was over grown with weeds. Finidng a level spot other than the first one when you drive it would be a sincere challenge. But it was certainly nice for lunch or a perfect place for someone who really wants seclusion!
Bathrooms were there as well as a billboard with info. Near the Snake River so that's pretty good, too
photos to come...
