Site is closed and barricaded. There are a few pull off along the road to Intermittent Springs that were suitable for a quick overnight stay though. We fit our 40’ bus no problem. The road is heavily trafficked during the day, but empty at night.

This campsite was an unexpected gem, and one of our favorite stops during our month-long trip in Sep 2015. It's a small USFS campground with only 8 sites, and only one of them has a water faucet (site #1). Each site has a decaying picnic table, fire ring, and rusty grill. There are restrooms, and trashcans, but that's it for facilities.
What makes this place so special is the beautiful forested setting alongside a rushing creek. The campground isn't used much, and we were the only ones there. The only sounds are the wind in the pine needles, and the sound of flowing water.
It's a little tight navigating into the campground, and at one point the tree branches were scraping the sides and top of our 30' motorhome. I would recommend not circling the loop, but rather stopping at site #1 or #2 at the front of the campground. We had to make some multi-point turns to get situated.

“Campground Is Permanently Closed. ”
noted 8/7/2023
Gate to the campground is closed and locked. No evidence of anyone being anywhere around. Sign on the gate says campground closed.
“I never saw a formal campground ”
noted 6/9/2023
I never saw anything I would call a campground. I did pitch my tent near the hiking trailhead, which had a picnic table and vault toilet nearby. The creek was near flood stage, and so loud that I needed earplugs to sleep (2023)
