We had planned to stop here overnight as we have some nostalgic memories of Montpelier, but unfortunately it didn't work out. I thought it was worth sharing our experience with other Campendium users.

I think this would be a good campground for tents or truck campers, but it's not set up for RVs. The recreation.gov site lists the max length as 35 feet but we only saw one site that would accommodate our 28 ft trailer however there would be no room for our truck. So that 35 ft is definitely a maximum of all combined vehicles.

The sites are quite overgrown which gives them a lot of privacy, so I think tent campers would really appreciate that. The campground is very close to the road which does get a fair bit of traffic, which is why I'm giving this a poor rating for noise.

The true deal killer for us was that there was no Verizon cell service whatsoever here (not even 1x, just "no service").
