“For small rigs only, or it's a nightmare getting out”
Reviewed Aug 12, 2018
Stayed here overnight on our way through Ketchum/Sun Valley. It really is a very nice campground. Half-price discount with a Federal Parks Pass. Sweet-smelling vault toilets. Paved road and roomy RV sites. Picnic tables and fire rings. Lots of shade. Clean.
The problem is that they have a winding, one-lane road set up for two-way traffic, and it's hemmed in by large rocks and trees. Even the camp host admitted that it wasn't wide enough for two-way traffic, but once you're in there's no other way to get out except the way you came.
We managed to get our 25 ft. trailer in mid-morning without meeting oncoming rigs, but after realizing that 11 RVs would be leaving the same day we were we decided to hitch up before going to bed and pull out at 4 a.m. to avoid a likely nightmare.
Really, what WERE they thinking?!! If your RV is wider than a standard pickup, don't stay here.
