Overall Rating
This tiny campground is perfectly located on the shore of Leech Lake, directly opposite the White Pass Ski Area. The scenery more than makes up for the little bit of road noise which is practically non-existent at night.
The sites are recommended for vehicles with a maximum length of 20 feet but we fit our 22 foot van in easily. All sites appeared to be lakeside.
This campground is also a trailhead (with separate parking) for the Pacific Crest Trail. We hiked a nice stretch of it to Sand Lake. Leech Lake is just a mile or two west of the giant Rimrock Lake, and there are several cafes/stores and gas stations in the area. In warmer weather it looked like a fun little lake for a paddle board, canoe or kayak. Right now it is bow season, so be prepared to share the facilities with hunters.
