Full hook-ups, showers, bathrooms, and laundry. I didn't use the amenities since I was only staying overnight. It is remote, which gives it more charm than staying a few miles west on a rail yard. They also have a store with crafts and local beef. I wish there were more places like this to camp at.

What first attracted me to this RV park was the fact that it was a Campendium Campers Choice award winner in 2021 and 2022...and 30 seconds after arriving you can clearly see why! I arrived on Sunday afternoon April 23rd and was immediately greeted by the camp host, Nancy. I really liked how they clearly mark out that you need to stop and wait for a camp host to come to meet you. Nancy was incredibly polite, welcoming, and got me checked in right away. She actually escorted me to my spot in her golf cart to make sure I knew where to go. She gave me a rundown of the entire park and then asked if I had any addition questions - probably one of the best check-in experiences I have ever had on the road! You get a few pieces of 'check-in' literature, complete with wifi password, map of the park and some additional information. Perfect!
I was in spot #8 which is the last/corner spot with no neighbors to one side and a totally unobstructed view of the farm, the snow-capped mountains, and the cows wondering around grazing. Opening my door every morning and getting to just take in the view was absolutely worth it! I uploaded some photos of the view as well. The site is pretty level and the one odd thing about it, but not an issue - just different from the other spots, was the sewer connection rises up from the ground about a foot or so. I am used to it being flush with the ground. Again, not good or bad, just different. All of the spots around the park look to be really level and one of the coolest things was that they really take care of the grounds...they were watering the grass around the sites, every morning at 7am you would see Nancy and her husband Steve cruising around in their golf carts picking up trash and checking the park out - something I haven't seen done at many other parks I have stayed at. In fact, the last two days of my stay, Nancy was throwing a fresh coat of paint on the bathroom facility. In short, the grounds are immaculate by RV park standards. The sites all have picnic tables and my site had 50/30 AMP service and no fire pits.
The wifi worked great and it was a consistent 4Mbps DOWN and 1-1.5Mbps UP...I am pretty sure it is rate limited as I could never get more than that, but it worked for my AppleTV, 2 MacBook Pro laptops, iPhone, and iPad. I also travel and use my Starlink satellite dish and from spot #8 it took the dish no longer than 3 minutes to boot up, connect and start crushing it. I uploaded some photos of speed test results I got each day at different times of the day. The Verizon service is exactly what others have reported. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and never saw more than two bars...had no issues making calls, etc., but two bars was the max.
I noticed that a number of reviewers mentioned the noise from I-80 as the park is just 75-100 yards from the should of the road. There is definitely some noise, but I really wasn't bothered by it at night or during the day. It was strange though that at times it sounded like trucks/cars were going over a rumble strip of some kind, like when you swerve towards the shoulder, but all-in-all it was not that big of a deal. The road noise never woke me up at night.
The closest town is Wells, NV (literally took me 5 minutes to get there) and I ran up to the supermarket, named Roy's, on a Saturday to stock up on a few things. That was when I noticed 3-4 other RV parks and after driving by I was so glad I decided to stay with Nancy and Steve. I won't mention any of the parks by name, but let's just say they were pretty much all concrete, little to no grass or trees, and all seemed to be in some very sketchy areas next to run down casinos/hotels - Wells looks like it has been hit by hard times for sure. All I can remember thinking was, thank God I decided to stay at the Welcome Station RV Park! The supermarket there has just about everything you would want/need and was pretty much deserted for a Saturday. Just me an two other shoppers at 11AM. Bottom line, the 5 minute drive was well worth it to stay where there are trees, lush grass, and awesome views.
There was a planned power outage on the Friday I was there and it was totally out of the control of the park...in fact, the entire town of Wells, NV had no power either. I found that out when I tried to go to the post office on Friday. That said, Nancy and Steve actually came around to every site and left a notification, along with some very delicious muffins, letting everyone know a few days before it happened. The main office has a little store where you can buy farm fresh eggs, candy, and home baked goods...all of which were awesome!
No question that this is an absolute GEM of an RV park and deserving of the Campers Choice award...they definitely get my vote! 5 stars all the way!!!
Cheers,
Travis

You are greeted at the gate and assisted to your spot, all the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and create a very relaxing environment.
The only downside is it’s proximity to the highway, but do not let that deter you, the surroundings more than make up for it.

This campground is immaculate and has a beautiful stream running through it along with places to sit and run around on the grass. Here was my only beef with this campground. When I reserved a spot I reserved one up against the stream. When I got there everyone else had done the same thing but my neighbor did not park their RV in backwards and so they had multiple toys, cars,ATVs etc. on my side and so when I backed in I was basically crowding into their space. It was very awkward as they had all their games set out and were playing basically where my table was. It was very awkward. He then moved me to the other side of the park where there was absolutely no one. After that it was a beautiful evening.

First, the positives: Welcome Station RV Park is beautifully kept by the owners, who have obviously worked hard to make this an oasis. Green grass, large cottonwood trees, fruit trees and flowers. The bathrooms/showers are clean. The sites are a combination of grass/gravel; mine was marginally level, but it was only a one night stopover. Although I didn't use it, there was wifi available to purchase. Note that there aren't any gas stations, restaurants or other amenities in the immediate area, so pick up supplies on the way or be prepared to drive to Elko. The park is conveniently located just off of I-80 and therein lies the problem. There must be a hill on the highway, because the sound of air brakes and downshifting was nonstop. It was a nice cool night and I had the windows of my trailer open. I barely slept - got up at 5 am and started packing to leave. If you're in a big rig, closed up tight with the A/C running, it probably won't be an issued. I realize this noise is out of the owner's control, but for me it was a dealbreaker.

The Welcome Station was a surprise oasis. We didn’t expect the park like surroundings after miles of desert mountains. Steve & Nancy were so friendly & accommodating. Even though the campground was full they found us a lovely spot on the grass close to the creek to stay for the night. They have full hookups, lovely bathrooms with showers and a laundry room with a lending library. We only stayed the night along our travels so we didn’t have much time to explore the garden and walking paths. This will definitely be a spot we come back to.

This is a hidden gem I. The middle of dry brown dessert, an oasis! There is a babbling brook, lush green lawns, shady spots. The people who run the place are very friendly and helpful.
I will definitely stay here again when I’m passing thru. I probably would plan to stay an extra day because it is that good!!

You probably won't see this place from the highway but you won't be disappointed taking exit #343 (east bound) if you're hot & tired. It's a small, family owned RV park that caters to one nighters. It's clean, it has lots of shade courtesy of magnificent cotton wood trees, and it is reasonably priced. This is not one of those Nevada RV parks packed full of oil field workers, this is a wonderful respite from driving all day when it's 200° outside. Run by welcoming and charming owners.
My Verizon was about 1 bar serviceable but they have high speed wifi available (through an online provider). I can't say enough about the relaxing grounds here...but it is close to the highway and that noise does get through somewhat.
Full hook-ups, but bathroom /showers are present if needed.

Hi, I’m Shorty the dog. I’ve just spent two wonderful weeks at this doggy heaven.
There was plenty of grass to walk on, so my feet never got stickers in them.
Also, loads of shade trees to cool off under when I got hot.
My peeps also agree that it is a great little RV park.
I give this park five gold paws and will definitely be back!
