You are greeted at the gate and assisted to your spot, all the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and create a very relaxing environment.
The only downside is it’s proximity to the highway, but do not let that deter you, the surroundings more than make up for it.

This campground is immaculate and has a beautiful stream running through it along with places to sit and run around on the grass. Here was my only beef with this campground. When I reserved a spot I reserved one up against the stream. When I got there everyone else had done the same thing but my neighbor did not park their RV in backwards and so they had multiple toys, cars,ATVs etc. on my side and so when I backed in I was basically crowding into their space. It was very awkward as they had all their games set out and were playing basically where my table was. It was very awkward. He then moved me to the other side of the park where there was absolutely no one. After that it was a beautiful evening.

First, the positives: Welcome Station RV Park is beautifully kept by the owners, who have obviously worked hard to make this an oasis. Green grass, large cottonwood trees, fruit trees and flowers. The bathrooms/showers are clean. The sites are a combination of grass/gravel; mine was marginally level, but it was only a one night stopover. Although I didn't use it, there was wifi available to purchase. Note that there aren't any gas stations, restaurants or other amenities in the immediate area, so pick up supplies on the way or be prepared to drive to Elko. The park is conveniently located just off of I-80 and therein lies the problem. There must be a hill on the highway, because the sound of air brakes and downshifting was nonstop. It was a nice cool night and I had the windows of my trailer open. I barely slept - got up at 5 am and started packing to leave. If you're in a big rig, closed up tight with the A/C running, it probably won't be an issued. I realize this noise is out of the owner's control, but for me it was a dealbreaker.

The Welcome Station was a surprise oasis. We didn’t expect the park like surroundings after miles of desert mountains. Steve & Nancy were so friendly & accommodating. Even though the campground was full they found us a lovely spot on the grass close to the creek to stay for the night. They have full hookups, lovely bathrooms with showers and a laundry room with a lending library. We only stayed the night along our travels so we didn’t have much time to explore the garden and walking paths. This will definitely be a spot we come back to.

This is a hidden gem I. The middle of dry brown dessert, an oasis! There is a babbling brook, lush green lawns, shady spots. The people who run the place are very friendly and helpful.
I will definitely stay here again when I’m passing thru. I probably would plan to stay an extra day because it is that good!!

It's clean, it has lots of shade courtesy of magnificent cotton wood trees, and it is reasonably priced. This is not one of those Nevada RV parks packed full of oil field workers, this is a wonderful respite from driving all day when it's 200° outside. Run by welcoming and charming owners.
My Verizon was about 1 bar serviceable but they have high speed wifi available (through an online provider). I can't say enough about the relaxing grounds here...but it is close to the highway and that noise does get through somewhat.
Full hook-ups, but bathroom /showers are present if needed.

We needed an overnighter between Lake Tahoe and Salt Lake. We looked around Winnemucca, Wells, and in between. All the places we found were basically glorified parking lots with RVs stuffed close together with no greenery in sight. Then we stumbled upon Welcome Station RV park. The photos looked unbelievable for the Nevada desert. Reality was no different. This place is a literal oasis in the middle of a lone and dreary world. It was AMAZING!!! The owners, Steve and Nancy, take such great care of the place. You can tell they are invested in the place with personal touches all over the property. And, they are really friendly, nice, and wonderful people on top of that. Why would anyone stay at one of the glorified parking lots when you could come here and feel like you are camping in your own back yard. There are no fire pits or BBQs in the individual sites, but the is a community propane BBQ, and a community fire pit, including free wood! Showers, laundry, a nice stream (that our dogs thoroughly enjoyed), and ample open grass areas for playing games or just to go for a stroll. All are protected under he shade of expansive cottonwood trees. There's even a museum containing the very interesting history of the property. Pro tip, the sunsets on the west side of the property are heavenly. One advisory, the property is right next to I-80, and the sound bleeds heavily into the park. Nothing can be done about that (except earplugs at night). But even with that, it is still a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, whether for one night, or and entire week. Highly recommended!

So was our puppy who has been on the road for 3 weeks confined in a small Class B. He (and we) loved the lush grass and all the birds. He was able to roll around outside without getting dirt, burrs, foxtails, or anything else stuck in his fur.
Trees offer shade, and though it was 88° and sunny when we arrived, we didn’t need to run the a/c because of the shade and breezes.
Despite being conveniently next to Highway 80, road noise wasn’t an issue. You can hear the big trucks when you’re outside, but it’s intermittent and sounds farther away than it is. The campground was full, but it was so quiet you would never know.
The sites are close together, but there is plenty of room behind the rigs to spread out a bit.
Owners are super friendly and helpful. We love this place and will be back.

Nancy, the owner:hostess had set up a ladybug discovery tour around the park. They have a small veterans museum that’s cute also. Only advice is get your provisions in Wells before arriving.

Hi, I’m Shorty the dog. I’ve just spent two wonderful weeks at this doggy heaven.
There was plenty of grass to walk on, so my feet never got stickers in them.
Also, loads of shade trees to cool off under when I got hot.
My peeps also agree that it is a great little RV park.
I give this park five gold paws and will definitely be back!
