We stayed here as a last minute decision when we were behind schedule getting to another dispersed camping spot. We didn't want to set up in the dark and risk no spots being available, so we stayed here. We have a 45 ft toy hauler and its tricky to find a spot comfortable for us to stay when dispersed camping. The entry road is gravel with a cattle gaurd. It is a well maintained road and we didn't go over any crazy bumps or experience any low trees. However, we only went down the road a little bit. There are many spots to stay that are more private and a few places with open land for easier access. There is a big lot when you first pull in off of the highway that looks promising but upon arrival it has very rocky ground and it would have been a struggle to pull in. If you have a smaller trailer you could find a spot here. There were people tenting already there. We drove down the path a bit an found a very open spot along the river. We were even able to turn our rig around. If you had a group, several people could stay here with a few pre-made fire pits. There are woods giving us some privacy in the back and a creek in the front. There is another rig staying behind us and we can hardly see each other but we can tell by cars driving by that we are not alone. Overall, we feel safe and comfortable but also we are enjoying the privacy! It is also only about 20 minutes from Dubois. Dubois had gas stations, stores and other campgrounds if you had any needs before you parked here. This is a great place to stay if you are on your way to the Tetons/Yellowstone. We wished it was just a bit closer to where we are going but depending on your destination it is a great stopping point in the middle

This site is easily found after opening Apple Maps in Campendium. I came in from 26 heading northwest to Tetons. It was a good overnight stop on my road trip. I was “bear aware” but Indidnt have any encounters. I tent camped just over the bridge near the latrines. I felt safe and woke to a beautiful sunrise. There were a couple of 5th wheels close by. A few trucks and ATBVs went past during daylight but nothing unpleasant. Bathrooms were very clean. No cell signal.

No other facilities except for pit rest rooms. Plenty of parking for more than eight campers. Beautiful views. Rough gravel roads coming in. Best way is from highway 26.

Was here for 8 nights and really enjoyed the area. We were on a hunting trip and this was an easy access area for what we were doing. The biggest complaint is that local ranchers can free range their cows here. There were several evenings where cows were in our camp. I was a bit nervous for my solar panels and some other things that could be broken. We were able to fill water tanks in Dubois and dumped our tanks at the KOA in Dubois. They were extremely friendly at the KOA even though we did not stay there overnight. I marked down quality just because of the cows.
