We got lucky and found an open site but most seem to be occupied long term by giant 5th wheel campers who are hanging around for a week or more. Beautiful, remote.

This is just up the road (maybe 200 yards) from the Books Lake NFS camp site. These sites are about 100 to 150 feet higher than the NFS campground and the sites (yes there are actually designated sites, many with fire rings here). Our site was even a pull through. The nice thing about this area is that the sites are pretty widely separated. There are no facilities such as toilets. We had no cell signal.
