"Serene, peaceful"

We stayed one night on our trip to Maine. This is a great campground. Very well maintained, with large private sites. Bathrooms are clean. The grounds are densely wooded and peaceful. This is a great jumping off point for Big Bend National Park. Friendly staff, nice location, dark skies. In fact, there is often a stargazing event in the evenings, except the moon was too bright during our visit. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

"The MOST Basic of Basic Campgrounds"

active staractive starinactive starinactive starinactive star
We stayed here several times before for $20 per night. It was conveniently located based on our route. It was worth $20, but just barely. It is DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $50 PER NIGHT. It does have electricity & water but the site is 100% dirt so if it rains you have mud. It does have a very BASIC bathhouse with 2 showers & toilets but we didn’t...
