This is our first provincial park after crossing over into Canada. It was not crowded at all. We took site 16, which is a first come first serve site. Very quiet. We had a change of plans and just needed a place to overnight. It was ok, until the electric went out in the midst of the night. Rundown, needs TLC, don’t think the owners care.
If your timeline needs and overnight stop, it will do. Gas is on site and the cafe has good food. Gravel/dirt sites that are fairly level. It’s a large place that needs some TLC. It has potential to be a great park. Water, electric only, some trees but starlink was clear for us.
Most available sites were taken. I swung around a few trees and had to jack front tires off ground to level. Otherwise quiet except for some noisy kids. Would stay again but arrive middle of week.
Dry camped one night off I-94, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Easy in/out, paved right up to campground entry. Yes, I know, it’s a long weekend, school just got out etc. - but wow, many crazy kids on minibikes & golf carts with minimal/no supervision. That said, fun to see lots of families enjoying beautiful late May weekend. Still posted...
