Dry camped one night off I-94, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Easy in/out, paved right up to campground entry. Yes, I know, it’s a long weekend, school just got out etc. - but wow, many crazy kids on minibikes & golf carts with minimal/no supervision. That said, fun to see lots of families enjoying beautiful late May weekend. Still posted at $10 honor system (there were no fee envelopes left) but as a COE site we left $5 for half priced Senior Life Pass. A bit confusing, as the entry sign says county, but everything online says COE. We used a site on west side of campground, kinda slanted but able to get level. Sites somewhat randomly arranged, many campers spread out haphazardly on grass throughout area. Recent spring rains have some spots very muddy. As others have suggested, there are random open areas available down closer to the reservoir to camp, but it was quite buggy down there this time of year.

We had our furnace going so we were warm enough, even with our hybrid trailer beds out. There was one other campervan there that we didn’t even notice until the next morning. No one around -paid our $10 into the box at the entrance. Vault toilets were nothing special but nice to have since our camper is still winterized and has no water on our way south. Really convenient place to stop for the night.

We are the only ones here. Wonderful mowed cross country track the dog and I enjoyed, got in 3 miles. Pit toilets, husband says they are ok but I’m going to pass. Much better than camping close to the interstate.

Stopping on a Monday night there were plenty spacious sites and even a good number of waterfront sites left.

There are two entrances into the main campground part, but if you drive past them, there are a few spots down by the lake and boat ramp area. We stayed in the back of the main campground in a graveled spot on a rise with a perfect view of the lake. Pit toilets are available. There is a dump station and non potable water. We stayed here in mid-May 2023 on a Tuesday night. There were just 6-7 campers, including us, total. Plenty of space for many more. Watch where the GPS tells you to turn. Google maps had us turn the correct way; our GPS had us turn the opposite way from the main road! Go toward the lake!

The area is quiet for sure.. there was a couple others in the park,, one tent and several RR,, one MH over by the entrance past the envelope box was running a genny.. (we are full solar so NO noise.)
There was a rig down by the boat ramp, not sure if they stayed the night it looked like there were fishing only.
apparently there is a camp host on the right past the dump station at some point,, they were not here on our visit.
sunset was spectacular for sure.. on the back side its to the back right of you.. these site with gravel are good for solar but bad for heat in summer.. other place has some shade you can find.. there are some picnic table and fire rigs in random places so its what ever, where there is a spot..
Price was still shown at 10 a night for max of 14 days in any 30 day period..

Very quiet campground with a nice walking path. Path is still snowy. We were the only ones camping. Great place to spend the night. $10.00 a night, dry camping with pit toilets and campfire rings.
