We stayed here in late May, so having electric for the a/c was great. Beautiful location among the red rocks, saw Big Horn Sheep trot thru the campground. Bathrooms were ok, showers were just ok, but serviceable. We planed to stay 2 nights but many hiking trails had been closed so we left a day early.

You hear a lot of conservations, generators, car alarms, etc, but once quiet hours rolled around it was very peaceful. Our spot was level and spacious. The bathrooms were ok. Each had 2 sinks but only one worked in each with only cold water. No soap. No drying mechanism. Lastly the dump station had hoses for flushing but neither worked. The potable water worked fine. I’d go back.

We looked no further. Our rig’s door opened up to the gorgeous rock formations. We had a picnic table with a steel overhead, fire ring, 30/50 amp and two faucet access points. Every morning we we greeted with Bighorn Sheep (fully grown). We saw them evenings as well. We were there three nights and were able to see everything and hiked most of the trails. We are out of state so had to paid $35. If the hookups would have filled we would have camped outside the park for free. The full hookup campground was full by early afternoon. The dry camping area filled up in the evening time.

No hookups but I was okay with that. Sites with hookups are an additional $10 over the regular park entry fee and campsite fee. There are actually only about a third of the sites with hookups but solar was good. Restrooms were clean and the showers were free. The key here is to come early and keep moving around until something opens up. If you do get a spot and go out for the day, make it very obvious that you are in the spot, lots of poachers. Get a map at the visitors center and enjoy the many hiking trails available. Best photo opportunities are before and during sunrise and just before sunset. There is a double dump station just outside the campground. Park Rangers patrol the area regularly.

About 20 mins away from Overton where there is gas and groceries. Big Horm sheep were regulars in the campground. Be sure to give them their space. There are campground hosts in case you need anything too.starlink worked well here but regular cell service was 1 bar but You can get closer to the visitor center the cell service is a bit better.

I loved this state park. Having the big horn sheep wander through the camp site every couple days was a great experience. Looking at the rock formations a little bit like looking at clouds, depending on the time of day you can see all sorts of shapes, like monsters and skulls in the deep crevasses and pockets in the stone. Out of state residents can expect to pay $15 everyday you are in the park, $10 a day to camp, and another $10 a day if you get an electric hookup site. They also have a paid wi-fi which I didn’t use. We had pretty good cell signal when our cell phone booster was on in the trailer. I figure most campsites will not have cell service as a lot of site are nestled in the rocks.

I had in Nevada Senior pass, you can purchase it at the park entry, I was told but I got mine at the park office. This got us into the park for free and I only had to pay $10 a night for electric. As usual, it was difficult to get an electric site the first night. They were supposed to be going to a reservation system at the beginning of 2023.
I was here over Christmas 2022 so it was fun to see the campsites light up at night with Christmas decorations.
An important things for me if I am paying for a campsite, the showers were free and hot and they are family size so you can fit more than one person into a shower room. Take shower shoes, the drainage was poor & the entire floor was swamped.
The campground was just right off the road that leads to all of the hiking spots. It was about 10 minutes to the welcome station/park office with a museum and a very small store.
You can get souvenirs at the park store but don't expect to do grocery shopping; this store is geared more toward day- trippers. Groceries are about an hour away.
The park was crowded with people, it was Christmas week and the week after so that's to be expected. We were last here in the spring of 2022 and we thought it was overcrowded, this time was so much worse. It was difficult even getting a parking space at the trailheads.
Cell service was spotty, I tried to call out and couldn't and then, a half hour later, in the same spot, I would receive a call. It did seem to help that I had an internet hotspot but it was not reliable. Plan to make any important calls from White Dome, the high spots of the park or the park office.
I have an 18' Class B motorhome and had no trouble, just a little adjustment on this slanting site
I don't want this all to sound negative, I'm just adding details that were important to me. I LOVE this park and the hikes and the Mars-like photos that I brought home. Bighorn sheep were abundant, you can get great pictures but don't get too close, they are accustomed to people but they are still wild animals and do not want you close. Respect them.
