Amazing wonderful surprise to find a free campground so close to Raleigh/Durham. No frills, some trash left at sites. Pine forest with each site pretty private. Two other campers on a Friday night.

The view of the bay was spectacular, definitely worth staying at least one night. Bathrooms needed some cleaning, and are utilitarian. Neighbors on both sides had lots of noisy kids on a weekday. If possible, come and scout the site before... Read more
