Campground is located within Organ Pipe National Monument. Booked through Recreation.gov No hookups at site, but water spigots located throughout park. There is potable water and a dump station at the south end of the campground (currently the potable water in the right lane is out of order.) During the winter months they do have strict generator hours 0800-1000 & 1600-1800. All day generator use from Memorial Day-Labor Day.
The campground has over 200 sites that accommodate multiple size RVs. The map shows the sites in different colors that are color coordinated to the size RV it will fit. In fact, at the actual sites they also have the same color coordinated sign to identify the sites.
The campsites are nice concrete and pretty level. It included a picnic table and grill. Some also have a ramada over the table. While the sites may be closer together and set up more like a typical private campground, it definitely still felt private and like you had plenty of room. The sites were at an angle, the roads curved a bit, and all the natural landscaping provided a cozy campsite feel. Super quiet at night and dark skies.
This campground also had bathrooms, solar showers, trash receptacles, recycling for aluminum cans, an amphitheater with nightly ranger led programs, and access to many easy walking trails. Had great Verizon signal and able to stream videos.

There are a variety of things to do in the park with a visitor center, various hikes, and a couple of driving routes through the nearby desert.
Washrooms were clean, although the solar showers most often were a frigid awakening no matter the time of day.
We absolutely loved the park, friendly fellow campers and park personnel.

The Park Service has done a great job with this campground. They have retained much of the native vegetation around the campsites. Even though the sites are all close together, you tend not to notice your neighbors because of the vegetation. The campsites vary and you should pay attention to the photos on recreation.gov when choosing your site. Some sites have a gravel tent pad, some have a ramada (roof) over the picnic table, while others have neither.
I like that there is a foot trail that circles the campground for dog walking. Dogs can also be taken on the trail to the visitor center. This yields several miles of trails that dogs are allowed on.

As many others have said this camp ground is really well laid out. All sites are pull though if you have a camper. We stayed in the last row of rv sites, no generators allowed. Very peaceful and beautiful views. Great hikes and even got to see a Gila monster!

Not sure I’ve had a better shower than the solar showers there. Campground hosts were terrific. Trails were fun. The 21-mile Ajo Mountain drive took us 3.5 hours because we stopped so often to enjoy the scenery.
Highway 86 from Tucson can be a bit rough in spots.

With the exception of a few rude campers (some of which the rangers/hosts dealt with, some not) and the fact that no site is level, this is a very good campground.

Long drive to get here but worth it. Restrooms (no showers of course) were very clean. Be forewarned too that the e good gravel loop of Ajo Mountain will rattle your teeth and your canned goods and your dog and your nerves, the last one third of it, at least. Loved the first two thirds of drive and scenery was worth the road — but the last third was much rougher. We’ll be eating dust for days.

There are electric charging ports up by the check-in kiosk and each bathroom has a plug.
During our stay at the end of January, the days were perfect--sunny and just a little warm--but as soon as the sun goes down, it's pretty darn cold. Everyone spends evenings and mornings in their campers. The park is very strict about campfires and we saw a ranger come and give someone a warning and then a ticket. Evenings are extremely quiet.
The park was nearly full and of all those campers very few were under the age of 30 and only 3 kids. It's a snowbird's place in the winter.
We have T-Mobile and we could text and email. We couldn't get good internet access or phone coverage.
