Non-generator (toward end of campground) and generator sites, RV sites mostly level. Some tent sites can accommodate vans. 2-3 bars att lte. 3 bars T-Mobile 3G inside campground, outside campground roaming in Mexico towers.
Sites surrounded by saguaro cacti, but most organ pipes are away from the campground.

Beautiful national monument. Very well thought out. Lovely drives. Campground is awesome. Sites are well spaced apart. Quiet. Bathrooms spotless. Love that they separate generator and non-generator sites and rv and tent sites. Rangers friendly. Relieved to find potable water. Fee was with senior discount.

Been here many times. Never seen it this uncrowded. Dry camping on mostly level concrete pads. Our site had a ramada for shade as well as a grill. Plan to bring what you need as nearest grocery is in Ajo about 45 min drive. Great desert drives and hiking trails. Very clean and well maintained facility. Price is with discount.

Price I paid was with my senior pass. Hands down the nicest national park cg I’ve stayed at. We came for 2 nights and stayed 4. Plenty on sun for solar and a double dump station with separate rinse and potable water fills. The water here is the best tasting water I’ve have experienced. Clean restrooms with cold showers. Bring what you need, no real grocery unless you cross the border. ATT Signal was good enough to stream tv.

Loved staying here, well-designed CG. Very impressed with "no generator" RV area, and limits (8-10 am, 4-6 pm). Beautiful views of unique landscape and assortment of cacti. Enjoyed the hike to Victoria Mine. Wish they had warned me during my Monday evening stop at the Visitor Center that they would be closed Tues & Wed.

I spent 3 days at the campgound in late January. I'm not sure how long ago the camppground was built, however I don't recall a campground laid out so well. Cactus typically grow slowly, yet this campground has spectacular plantings. There are cactus barriers between the pads which gives the area a peaceful feeling. Several restrooms are located in the campground and there is a designated no generator area. I was a late arrival and ended up in the generator area. Some people have not heard about "quiet" generators.
There is gasoline about 5 miles south at the US-Mexico border on Rt 85 and more 24 miles north near the junction of Rt 85 & 86.

First of all, as with other areas along the border, if you have a prepaid cell phone plan, your coverage may be different than what other reviewers report. My prepaid ATT plan showed me as being on TelCel (Mexico) and provided occasional data connectivity and good phone service, but I have no idea how long that would have lasted on my plan. I had zero prepaid T-Mobile connectivity here. The sites are paved and level side-to-side, though you'll need to level up front to back. The hosts do an excellent job keeping everything clean and tidy. There are some fabulous walks and hikes in the area, all of which have been beautifully designed and maintained. The only downside with this campground is the sites are a bit close. One neighbor's inverter alarm rang for five hours solid one day; after three hours, I asked the hosts if I could move for one night and they graciously let me. Two other days I had to deal with loud, incessant talkers. Once they were all gone, the peace and quiet in my space was lovely.
