we arrived around 6 or 7. Office was empty and they left reservation info at the post. no call or text to tell me this. Site was covered in leaves and sticks. Very close together. I was emptying tanks right next to the neighbors door.

The icing on the cake? They have Dominion Gas transformers sprinkled all throughout the campground and neither the gas company nor the nonexistent maintenance team notice that the transformers are open and unsecured. One touch, someone will die an extremely painful death.
I have children and am camped right beside one such unsecured transformer. I am livid.
The pool is wide open, green and closed. The dog park looks like a dump and the “trails” completely unmarked save for the green spray paint on two large oaks at the mouth of the trail. That’s it.

I pulled in late at night set up and thought I was safe to stay the day but I did get a knock asking if I had registered and if I was a member. They were SOOOOOO nice about the mix up and I honestly really thought it was free because I have be finding amazing full hook up free campsites. From how nice and understanding the staff was to how relaxing the place is with a nice lake and great laundry room, I would def become a member to stay here. Thanks for being so awesome!

It is very rare for Thousand trails to have this many full hook up sites. Other than that is is typical Thousand trails the sites are pretty basic most do not have outside tables. Maintenance is not a priority for Thousand Trails. The bath rooms where clean. The pool was closed due to lack of a on site operator??? Due to the many nice big trees satellite signal is questionable but they do offer cable. Also something we have not seen at Thousand trails campgrounds. Camp spaces can get marshy after a heavy rain but the do dry out. You are about and hour away from Savanna. Nice walking path around a couple bigger ponds. Be on the look out for Alligator's Nice park for a quick stay or longer. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for a travel night. Trees and a nearby walking trail around a couple of ponds make this a simple but great spot for a quick trip. Staff was friendly, site nice and level, simple but pleasant stay!

Will not stay here again!
We were staying a week and given a site without sewer regardless that it is supposed to be a first come first serve campground and they had over 10 sites open with sewer. They said when we need to dump to drive over to one of the open sites, since they don’t have a separate clean out station, but then return to our non-sewer site. When we asked if they could just move us to a sewer site we were told that Thousand Trails (TT) requires them to leave 7 sites open for nightly TT travelers. Really?! 7?!
One the third day it rained. Our entire site was 3 inches of standing water. We could not leave our MH without getting our feet completely soaked!
After complaining many times they finally moved us to another site (with sewer) for our remaining three days. This site seem to be having a power issue and was tripping our shore power off and on.
To top it off, when we then looked around for an after hours emergency contact, there was none to be found which they seem to be aware of when we told them. Over the week we left several messages, but never got a return call, other then them calling to tell us another site was available.
Poor management, poor site maintenance, just plan poor all around!

Sprint FMCA MiFi 50-140 Mbps down, 20-70 Mbps up depending on time of day. Verizon 49.8 Mbps down 11.6 up at the same time I got 140/70 from Sprint.

Upon check in we found we were assigned a campsite in the back of the campground. This was good since we never heard any of the highway noise other reviews mentioned. The site was a little tight and at weird angle to the road making getting in to the site interesting but nothing unmanageable or unpleasant.
All hook ups were in working order with the exception of the cable. I found this ironic since the lady at the front desk was pleases to mention our site had cable. Myself and my new neighbor spent about an hour or two trying to get it to work, but nothing seemed to help. The cables were just a spaghetti mess on the ground with no connections. We gave up.
Bath house was well maintained and clean. This proved important since we were at the campground during Hurricane Elsa. When she triggered tornadoes in the area at 2am my family and I sought refuge in the bath house. So glad it was clean! Could have been a terrible hour.
The pool was closed when we got there, but we found plenty to do in Beaufort which is only 20 min down the road. The National Cemetery is on the way to Beaufort so we took the time to visit my Grand Parents grave. Do stop in Beaufort and do get an ice cream at the ice cream shop, I forget the name, but you can not miss it. It has a line out the door, and it is that good.
We found no problems with mud or pot holes after the rain. The roads in the campground held up well. As for internet, I was off work while visiting here so I didn’t need connection but the ATT connection was strong enough to work off of.
There are plenty of annuals staying here and they are friendly as can be. They love to chat with transits.
We enjoyed our stay and would stop again when passing through.
