Large dumpsters were good a couple of cats sure liked em. Didn't check out anything else as it was cold in mid December. The first two power pedestals I checked had problems - open ground and not fully operational. There was only one other RV in the lot when we pulled in so it was not crowded. Didn't count how many, but there were several trains through the night. For us going east, the left turn under the bridge going in and out was tricky with traffic. Decided we would not stay here again due to the train.

They have a heated bathroom, which was great since it got down to 23 degrees. Toilet and urinal were in good shape. But handwashing sink was out of commission. So, it looks like there isn’t any water to be had at this park.
As others have pointed out, trains go by through the night but they didn’t seem to bother me.
All in all, an excellent, easy way to spend the night as you pass through this part of Texas. I’d definitely come here again.

Great place for a one night stay. Sites are paved and level with power (we did not use). Flush toilets were clean but men’s side was flooded. Not tent friendly though. Train passes by about every 2 hours . 24 hours max stay.

Awesome to stay just for the night. Even has power hookup! People can overlook the train noise going by for the price you are given! Thank you to City of Dumas!

Yet it for the job - no lock on the front door and no doors inside.

City park with RV electrical hookups (no water/sewer). It was fairly clean for a city park. Has lots of trash cans which is nice. All the spots are pull through with all the usual options for electrical hookups. Spots are kinda close together because it is a parking lot but did seem like there was enough room for the slide as long as you didn't park too close to the electrical box (left side for us). The park did fill up by night fall. We arrived around 2pm or so in the afternoon (we like to be early risers!). It is in the city, so there are food options and Walmart. I was given the advice to buy food in Texas before going to Colorado (if that is where you are headed) because it is cheaper - that was good advice! I ordered the groceries and picked them up in the early morning before hooking up to move on down the road. RV accessibility is super easy! I will be returning on the way back home! There are restrooms but I didn't use them and no showers as far as I know. We camped at Texhoma Park in a Travel Trailer

For free electricity on a hit Texas night, it cannot be better. Not the cleanest restrooms and the trains going through town at night were a bit noisy, but it was an easy overnight stop.

Dumas city park was a good stop for us. About 12 camp sites with electricity. We got the last one about 6:00, but there was a RV resort next to it if needed. Bathrooms were old but clean, sink was out of order, which is the reason for 4 stars. Being July 4th week weekend, it was full. The grassy tent sites were empty. It was a stormy ... more

While it is a nice park that is free, if your goal is to sleep between long days on the road, this is not your place. The train horn sounds like it’s going to slam right into your RV. SUPER LOUD.
Very nice that it’s free though. No water. Electric only.
