Passed by and turned around to find a great place to stay by the lake. Favorite of locals for fishing. A little buggy last night but to be expected. Some road near from hwy but not bad at night. Would definitely recommend.

Nice place for RV camping. It was $18/night when we came here (report from 3 years ago was $9/night). We didn’t notice any road noise when going to bed (probably a little noise if you are tent camping) and right next to a quiet little lake.

We did some tent camping here. Great little spot but a bit noisy with road noise at night in a tent. I imagine it wouldn’t be as bad in a trailer or RV. Overall we had a great time. Bring lots of bug spray... it is summer in Alaska after all!

We spent a few days relaxing and enjoying the campground. It's got a lake between it and the road so that helped with the noise. I would recommend this park to anyone passing through this area. Note that we payed half price with our senior pass.

We always enjoy staying here, the handful of water front sites are most desired. The sites are very private and campground is clean.
We enjoy kayaking and fishing for trout and dolly varden here. You can walk, bike, paddle, or drive over to the lodge for a nice meal or ice cream.
It's also far enough away from the crowds by the Russian River crowds during peak season. Spring and fall are our favorite times to stay here though.
The cell service in this location changes from year to year, in 2016 both ATT and Verizon had service.
We've always had service between our two phones though.

We really enjoyed this US forestry campground. It is well-maintained with each site (combination of back-in and pull through) large, level and very clean. Trees line the sides and backs of each site, giving lots of privacy between most sites. Yet the trees didn’t block us from getting plenty of solar. This campground is a popular fishing spot on Summit Lake, with several lake side camp sites. No dump station is available and water is by hand pump only. Overall, this a delightful campground to spend time relaxing, kayaking or fishing.
