We weren’t sure how this was going to shake out. It was 108 in Tucson and I read that it would get cool in the mountains, but wow! The second we got to 5000 ft the temp started to drop and overnight I’d guess it was close to 65. Lovely sites! Definitely recommend camping here especially if you’re trying to escape the heat.

Mount Lemon as a whole is not great for travel trailers. $26 a night is to steep for what you get.

No shade for the vehicles but sites are somehow shaded, even though a fire last year damaged lots of the trees. Every time a vehicle drives by, dust flies everywhere. It is about 15 degrees cooler than Tucson. From where we parked, we had the back doors open and could see the city lights at night. Very cool. One tiny spot had phone reception and data. Otherwise, nothing. AT&T was better than Verizon. One water faucet for 15 sites or about. Clean bathrooms but the high cost of $24.00 makes this campground a very poor value. That said, great location for hiking from.

This is the 2nd time staying at this campground. I loved both spots stay, but this spot was one the the best. The site was super clean and welcoming. The facilities there were clean and taken care of. The camp hosts are always friendly! We enjoyed both nights and all 3 days.
