You have to get in line early (7 - 8:00 am) to get a site but the time spent waiting is well spent. All sites are walk ups (first come first serve). Great updated campground. Concrete eating area with paved level RV parking. All with tent pads, fire pits, cooking podium, table. Most sites had good shade. Our stay was pleasant, our site was all by itself so noise was not an issue. Many double sites had big families which made some noise. We were only a 100' from Redfish lake, close to trailheads around the lake (10+ miles) or to the numerous great sandy beaches. This area is busy, busy, busy but it was not hard to get away from it all. The main lodge and beach was way busy but elsewhere on the lake you could find some private space. The trails are all well used and very interesting. There are many sites in Stanley Basin, what with all the lakes you can drive and hike to, the wilderness areas, the boating etc. We enjoyed our early morning canoeing and had the lake to ourselves until 9:00. Great campground. The only negative was the smoke in the air. With all the fires in the western U.S. the smoke spoiled the clear mountain air but otherwise a great area to enjoy.

You can take a walking trail all the way to the lodge, restaurant, dock and swimming beaches or take a very short drive and park closer to those areas for the day. You can enjoy beautiful views of the lake from the campground but the coast is being preserved in that area.
We had little to no cell service but was able to pick up perfectly usable data through our antenna and hotspot with our antenna placed just right. so perhaps with a booster cell signal would work?
The restaurant at the lodge is good, driving into Stanley for Stanley bakery for breakfast is well worth it.
Take the boat shuttle to the other side of the lake for some epic hiking and backpacking.

Pretty and well maintained campground. Last one open at the tail end of the season (Sept). Nice views of the lake and nearby hiking.
You may get 1 bar of Extended 3G here. A booster may make that usable.
