Nothing short of glorious can describe this spot. Right on the river. Easy to get to the falls, kayaking, hiking, Whitefish Point and more. Easy walk to the bathrooms for showering. Quiet and very peaceful.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Our site wasn't the greatest, corner lot, but we enjoyed the scenery, solitude, & trails. The whole area is fantastic, I'd like to visit again.
The primitive sites here are even better than the modern ones FYI. I wouldn't hesitate to grab one of those for a couple nights.

The Rivermouth Campground is a 20 minute drive from the actual falls. That's good because it keeps it quiet and away from all the crowds visiting the falls. The campground is along the river and just across the road from Lake Superior. There are two loops, one with electric (semi-modern) and one without (rustic). We stayed in the latter and enjoyed it tremendously. The Rustic Campsites are reasonable spacious though with a few notable exceptions (like 103) they are not screened from neighbors. A number of sites back up to the river itself. There are a number of access points where you can launch a kayak. There is a boat ramp located across the road on Lake Superior but no docking facilities at the campground. We walked through the Semi-Modern Loop and thought the campsites were a little close together, but still most of them would fit any reasonably-sized rig.
