During this Covid crisis we decided to visit some state parks we've never been too. Really impressed with this campground.
Sites level, not on top of each other in most loops. Quiet place, breezy too.
Swimming beach- on site. Golf courses...
Nice campground with two loops, 95 sites. Many improvements since our last visit in 2017.
Some sites don't drain well, which unfortunately included ours. Not the Park's fault there was basically 48 straight hours of rain, but I suppose more...
Got a riverfront site that's shady and has a great view. Found this place on a search, and it's really worth it. On my list now, will return again.
We stayed in the Cypress Loop. The roads are a bit tight but we managed to slip into #16. Lots to do here, the park is enormous.
Next time I'd opt for the Acorn loop, but we enjoyed our stay. Sites in Cypress are pretty close together, but...
We were just passing through and got a great lakefront spot. We loved it, peaceful, lots of families around. Golf course was nice too. Making plans to come back for a longer stay.
We stayed after a long day's drive from the Davis Mountains. Really spacious pull through sites about a half mile from I-20. Did some laundry, and just recharged. Clean place & quiet.
We couldn't get into the state park so opted for here. Only 3 miles from the park. FHU at all sites. The place is brand new and will add a shower house eventually. Very quiet place during our stay, not many campers around.
Very simple campground close to the center of town. The owners are great. Not too far from Glen Rose, which has canoeing, golfing (Squaw Valley about 25 miles away), & some great food. We found this place on the fly on a holiday weekend....
"Great Base Camp for the Area"
"Loved it, will definitely return."
