We were given special driving directions to prevent us from missing our turn off on the freeway. Our spot was very level. We parked and turned on our air conditioning because it was 108° and stayed inside until the morning. It is 1/4 mile from an older KOA that had mature trees.
CPR Mary would stay here again

Do NOT stay here is your have a dog!!! One small area of gravel that smells horrible and that it. The whole place is gravel and about 50% of the campers are permanent with lots of stuff. Came in on a Sunday and did not know our site number- called the number as the office was closed, she rudely said “it’s on the poster board outside”. I apologized and said I didn’t see it. She said “yeah” and hung up.. it was scribbled in a piece of paper on a board that I wouldn’t say would be anyone first guess… seeing as I showed it to two other that pulled in🙃
The location is good with access to Zion, quail creek state park, St. George and the red cliffs!
The price is ridiculous for what it is though.. we would normally pay $45 for a place with laundry, dumpsters, pool etc. this was 100% NOT worth the money. We’d suggest going to quail creek state park itself and staying!! If they had opening that’s what we would have done! OR there is a KOA literally next to it that seemed way more worth paying a bit extra!

We stayed here in early October 2021 as a last minute reservation. We opted to cancel our reservation up at Bryce due to cold and snow conditions up there and we did not want to deal with driving in those conditions with the rig.
Overall this is a nice, clean, newer small campground. Some back-in gravel and some paved/pull-through spots. The bathrooms were clean and modern construction. The dog run looked nice/grassy area adjacent to the office and bathrooms.
Wifi was available but for us a bit spotty. We were unable to stream TV consistently in the evening. A camper staying there longer term (who was adjacent to the office) told us they got great WiFi for streaming so perhaps it was location or perhaps it was the 2nd channel, not sure.
The site was a bit noisy due to nearby I-15 freeway. Inside the camper we did not find this and issue for sleeping but in October we had most windows closed and were running the heat. Summertime with windows open might be a noise issue for some.
Overall it was a pleasant surprise due to the last minute booking. We were able to do some great hiking at the North end of Zion in the Kolob Canyons area which was about 30 minutes north off of I-15. It was much less crowded than the main Zion valley down in Springdale and was still very beautiful.
Big Lor would stay here again
