But open all year!
Price I paid was for a non-hookup spot, there are spots with water and electricity. Threaded drinking water available.

There are pull through, back in, and handicapped sites. Each has a covered picnic bench. Some have electricity. I think they all had tent pads too. Nice, clean bathrooms w/flush toilet & sink/water. No showers. There is water and dump station. There is a campground host on site. We were just passing through but this would be a nice place to stay for a few days. Hiking & mountain biking trails across the street. Also looks like the park may be expanding to accommodate more campers.
NOTE: Gate closes at 9PM so get there before then or you won’t get in.

Nice Views, Hook ups are on the wrong side 🤣. #4 way too steep to unhook the truck so only stayed one night, then boon docked. Winds got pretty crazy in the afternoon, be prepared as signage says no refunds due to weather. Road noise and construction is a bit annoying. Clean sites with a nice distance between folks. No shower.

We arrived in 108° heat and really enjoyed a quick dip in the water. We were in site 4, a pull through near the road but elevated with a great view, water and electric. There’s a busy launch ramp at the other end, and water sports rentals available, but the campground end is off by itself and quiet. We’ll be back.

This is a small state park on a beautiful reservoir surrounded by gorgeous rock formations. We stayed in one of the upper pull through sites with water and electric hookups. As other reviewers have noted, the hookups were on the wrong side, so come prepared for that. Our site was pretty level once we pulled up to the middle. Our site backed up to the road so there was quite a lot of road noise until late in the evening. The roads in and out are fairly narrow but nothing we couldn’t manage with our 35’ class A and toad. There are modern bathrooms, but no showers, other than an outdoor pay shower by the beach. Also, the men’s bathroom doors were broken. The other major drawback is there’s no dump station. It was very windy when we were there, which sounds like a typical situation.

We parked our 31ft trailer and truck (53 ft total) and a Nissan Sentra in the spot.

We only stayed one night but would definitely book again. The location was perfect as a stopping off point, the scenery was lovely and the facilities were clean and seemed new. Our location (18) was right off the beach and had a great view of the water.

Nice state park for water sports. Campground was a bite packed in and on the side of a hill so it was windy. It appeared that it would be very busy in the summer.

We stayed here on Dec. 22, 2020. Only three other parties were camping here at the time.
PROS:
- Nice views
- Check-in gate staff were helpful and friendly
- Good cell coverage
- This park is a great place if traveling through or if you want to explore the area
- Right off the interstate and close to services and St. George but no Interstate noise because the campground is located down off the Interstate and is protected from noise by a cliff.
- All sites have tent pads, covered picnic tables, and fire pits. The grills have scrapers attached. Nice touch!
- Clean bathrooms / no showers
CONS:
- Gates auto close at 9 pm so not great, as mentioned by others, if you are exploring the area and are out late.
- There is a local road right next to the park that sees a fair amount of traffic but was quiet at night.
- As others have mentioned, some sites are not level and some sites have steep back-in drives.
- The campground is below a west facing cliff so the sun goes down early although this would be a good thing in the summer.
MISC.
- Some sites have hookups ($38) and some do not ($25)
- Sites can be reserved through the Utah State Parks Reserve America system
- Water is available from hydrants throughout the campground
- Site 22 is a level pull through site with no hookups facing the reservoir (see photo)
- See the Campendium 360 degree drive through video
