Small campground limited to tent camping and smaller campers due to height restriction to get in. The spots were small but spaced well apart. Among the rocks and the river. Vault toilets were clean. Neighbors were quiet. There are many day visitors that wander the campground to access the trails, but everyone was friendly.

We stopped by this place because the description seemed great, looked like lots of interesting things to do. Unfortunately , everyone else thought so too. Very crowded and if you want to camp you'll need reservations now.
We didn't stay, no room. Just a heads up, book first.

We loved our stay at Red Cliffs campground at the end of December. The spots are small but we were able to find a perfect pull through for our 31 foot class c. My kids loved all the rocks to climb on and the hiking trails were so fun! It was rainy and cold while we were there but the sun popped out several times to provide gorgeous sunrises and sunsets against the red rock. This campground was close to St. George (about 15-20 min) for us to visit family and friends. Bathrooms were clean, campground was clean and the forest rangers were very kind! The park was busy - but we don’t mind it- that’s means more people are out enjoying God’s country! We will definitely stay again!

From here we day tripped to a ghost town and mining museum and watched a shoot out. Near Laverkin. Very nice lots of trees and privacy. Catch crayfish in the creek. The only downfall it has a day use area and is close to St George. So it was full of day use people on the hikes on the weekends. I gave it 3 stars for noise on the weekends. But it was very quiet and nice at our campsite all the time. Loved it and had a great time with friends. It was first come only. We got the last 2 sites!

The campground/picnic area is located in a cottonwood grove along Quail Creek, at the mouth of a canyon. It's very pretty. There are trails in the area. It is a popular area and commonly full, except in the winter months.

The campground is accessed off I-15, exit 22. To reach the campground there are two *tiny* underpasses: you cannot be more than 11'5" high or wide.
Once reaching the campground you'll find an odd combination of small un-level sites, as well as some tent spots down in the wash. No amenities at the sites, but there are bathrooms and a freshwater fillup (both out of service until the end of March 2017).
I scouted this campground but didn't actually stay, and the reason for that was there is no service. I needed to work the next morning so needed to move on.
It's a funky little campground, to be sure, but would be a cool place to stay for a few days if you're small enough and don't need internet.

Access can be dicey, you need to fit through two single lane tunnels that say they are 11'9" high. I don't know how narrow the width is but if I had an 8'5" wide rig it might be nerve-racking as well. There is a day use fee to get in, but if you have any of the national park passes it will cover that. So at least you wouldn't have to pay the day use fee only to find there were no sites.
