“Quiet and off the beaten path of Stanley”

Great campground about 2 miles off Hwy 75, 14 miles from Stanley. It’s across and up the hill from a fairly quiet forest road on the Yankee Fork creek. Just a few miles from Custer ghost town (really cool quick trip up the canyon) and 10 minutes from Sunbean & Boatbox hot springs. Yes it’s a bit of a drive to town, the heart of the Sawtooth recreation areas and cell service, but a fair trade for a peaceful stay. Almost every other Forest Service campground in and around Stanley sit right off the highway. Site #8 is very large and level (most sites were) with two picnic tables, fit pit and parking for at least a 40ft trailer. There is a vault toilet and water spigot (well pump not good to fill RV tank) Just $10 per night. Also, no cell service until you hit Stanley.
