“Great Little Spot”

Overall Rating
We were here for two days over the weekend. Very quiet, clean, hosts were very friendly, little pond for the dogs to swim. Loved this spot.

Overall Rating
Place is kept nice and sites are large. Campground is along the Iowa River. Can be very busy on weekends and it is first come first serve.

Overall Rating
It’s $10 for a primitive site, $15 for one with electric. There’s a mix of tent camping sites in behind the electric sites but overall they’re generously spaced. It’s very level and right by a large, peaceful creek surrounded by mature trees. There are showers and potable water but no dump station. There’s a little playground/swingset ... more
It’s $10 for a primitive site, $15 for one with electric. There’s a mix of tent camping sites in behind the electric sites but overall they’re generously spaced. It’s very level and right by a large, peaceful creek surrounded by mature trees. There are showers and potable water but no dump station. There’s a little playground/swingset and a volleyball court.
Steamboat Rock is kind of adorable and this seems like a good spot to enjoy some lazy late summer days.
The wind did shift in the morning and it smelled rather strongly of... livestock... but hey, this is Iowa and it’s still a worthy stop.
