Stayed a few nights but spent most of our time in downtown New Orleans. No problem coming in after hours (6:30pm) and someone was available to take us to our spot and spot check as we backed in. He came the next day and trimmed a few branches that had been in the way of our back slide. Spots were gravel and very level. Road in the campground is fine. Too cold to get in the pool but it looked nice enough. As others say, this is a very industrial area. Our site was relatively close to the road, train tracks, and airport. So a lot of other noises. Our AC/fan did the trick to keep the sounds out overnight.
No problems driving to and from downtown, just know that to and from downtown (getting onto the I10) is a nightmare until you’ve done it a good half dozen times. Signage is nonexistent and the roads are on top of each other and some share names like Bus 90 and I10 (I think???). We used SpotHero to snag a decent parking space right next to Cafe du Monde.
Be aware, our Lyft driver one night said she will not take people to and from the campground after 11pm or so because it is not a good area to drive through. I heard a similar statement from the guy who checked us in after hours.

Pontchartrain Landing is nice RV park. We had a great weekday stay in late December and the weather was nice. Its not far from downtown New Orleans. When you first get off the Interstate, the area looks abandoned and a little sketchy, but it is ok. Apple Maps guided me right to the park. Facilities were clean, but gave it 4 stars on cleanliness due to the gravel roads/sites and dust everywhere. Park is fenced and gated for added security.
There is a restaurant and bar, but we didnt eat there. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the water in the mornings. The occasional noise from airplanes taking off from nearby Lakefront Airport was a small detraction. Playground was not much. Stayed in waterfront campsite #21, but view was partially blocked by houseboats. Disappointing for $89/night. Back-in site with gravel parking and a picnic table. No BBQ pit or fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups. Site was pretty level. Awning faced north so we had some shade from the sun. There was a flower bed with palm trees between the sites. Not much shade in the park. The site is located on the water. Neighbor was at least 20 ft. Away. Roads in the park were gravel creating some dust. Both AT&T and Verizon had good signal (3 bars each). AT&T Speedtest = 26.8 Mbps down, x 6.5 Mbps up. Free Wi-Fi is available at the office/restaurant and paid available it the sites. Did not use the Wi-Fi.
Overall, not impressed for the price, but would stay here again. We camped at New Orleans RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Even with being packed it was pretty quiet other than cars driving to their rigs. Pet friendly, and our doggos enjoyed walking near the water. It was a short drive to the craziness that New Orleans has to offer. This campground is nice that it's close to the action, but still out of town a little. Little pricy, but it is New Orleans and on the water. Wifi was pretty terrible. They did have trash pickup. Would stay again, but it's really a campground to use a base while enjoying New Orleans.

My experience during the past 3 nights (April 29-May 1) was fine except for a very expensive deception on their website. One of the reasons we booked in the Pontchartrain Landings RV park was because we wanted to experience the French Quarter and ll that New Orleans had to offer. As advertised, we thought we would be able take the campground shuttle in and out of town. WRONG! We spent over $125.00 on Uber fees and all while paying over $100.00 per night lot fee. Please redo the website and get ride of your false advertisement. We were told the shuttle didn’t run because of COVID but drivers were available at a fee and the restaurant above the office was open. Way too expensive for what you get at this resort .

We were here last year - well kept grounds, clean, functional laundry, great restaurant with NOLA favorites and live local music.
This year? New corporate ownership who think the key to success in nola is to replace gumbo, jambalaya and cajun music with pool tables and ESPN on wide screen TVs. The sites are over grown, except for the dead weeds between sites killed by over application of weed killer, dryers broken. Park is/was very nice...area around is a bit sketchy. If they succeed in attracting locals to the sports bar????
Staff is amazing...hope they find greener pastures.

So we were looking for a place to stay close to the French Quarter and got on their website to check it out. The website shows you a picture of the place that looks like a beautiful RV resort with paved roads in the Rv park and amazing views of a marina and across from there....IT IS ALL FALSE. First it is all gravel and when it rains it turns to mud and "lakes", the picnic tables are rotten, there is a marina but it is a working marina with a yacht repair shop across the way, so you had yachts coming in, idling for 20-30 minutes waiting for their turn. We paid extra for a premium site with a nice view and are view was a shrimp boat and the repair shop. The site next to us which was cheaper (a deluxe) had the same view. Across the way are some industrial buildings not greenery like shown on the photo. The photo of the place is a rendition. You hear a train every night and once in a while police sirens. It is not quiet. The only thing good are the staff and the proximity to the French Quarter which is an easy 20 minute drive. We were charged an extra $40 even before Mardi Gras started and there was no Mardi Gras, it's not their fault that the festivities were cancelled (Covid) but our rate went from $67 to $112 with no cancellation allowed even though we reserved months in advance.
So I will caution you if you decide to stay here, don't pay extra for the "view" and don't come during Mardi Gras.

We had car trouble driving in and had to make an emergency run to the Metarie dealership for a new AC compressor. Since our car was in the shop all morning they were very nice and let us have a late check out. We were still able to drive in for beignets at Cafe DuMonde, tour the quarter, and enjoy a dip in the pool after a very hot day.

“Thumbs Down For Trip Insurance”
noted 12/12/2022
We booked to stay there and then our plans changed and we had to cancel. I didn’t buy the trip insurance so I have to pay the full seven days. They offered to have me stay again sometime. But I doubt I’ll be back in the area in time. I knew the consequences for not getting the insurance so I took it on the chin. But I’d encourage them to have a cancellation fee instead of trip insurance. It would be more camper friendly. One more reason I prefer to avoid private campgrounds.
“Horrible reservations and communication! ”
noted 4/15/2022
Made a reservation in March for July which was VERY difficult to even get anyone on the phone or by email. Finally got a reservation and they immediatley charged my credit card the full amount. I never even received an email confirmation. I knew I was not dealing with a professional company.
A month later we found out that we can not make the trip. This is still 3 months away from our stay. I finally got through on a phone call and tried to cancel. They said I cannot cancel unless I had purchased some sort of warranty or protection plan at the time of reservation that I never saw or heard of. They could only move my reservation.
THREE months away and you cannot cancel your reservation!
