This rest stop is so much more. Wonderful access, dump, potable water and picnic tables. Superior to many RV parks we’ve stopped at for one night and paid for.
Also so close to Tonopah and great restaurants to choose from.
Great cell service from USA Commet

There was potable water available.
The dump station had a lock on the dump cap. No indication as to why or when it might be open.

I have to say the most unique thing about this spot is the "Crescent Dunes Solar Project" off in the distance in the desert. Very freaky looking! You can see a tower, as tall as a skyscraper, with a thousand or so, mirrors around it focusing sunlight at the top of the tower. It's so hot, and it glows so bright that it hurts your eyes if you look at it! I read the tower circulates molten salt that creates steam and I assume it turns turbins below to create electricity. It's the only one of it's kind in the world, just an amazing thing to look at in the desert nearby. Fortunately it glows only in the day so it will not bother you at night.
For our mid October stay the dump had been capped and the water had been turned off, we assumed for the winter. We agree with other reviews, and liked this big open gravel parking lot near highway 95. Drive through the rest stop to the end of the road and the RV lot is there.
Traffic on 95 is not too noisy. In addition to ours there were two other big, Tiffin rigs and a fifth Wheel there overnight, but Millers RV area could have fit many more rigs.
Btw, we are full timers and needed to get some packages via Fedex and UPS. So, after we arrived in the afternoon, we unhooked our toad and drove into Tonopah. We had lunch at the Mexican restaurant and picked up packages we had sent to the Tonopah "Mailroom Store". Joseph works there and he was very helpful. It worked great!

Nice little RV only rest area. Overnight camping is alowed (18 hour max). Fresh water, dump station, restrooms, trashcans, and a little dog area. Plenty of Room for big rigs. Some highway noise since you are about 100 Greer from a 2 lane highway.

So first off the dump station is open but no water is on to the rest area as of yet. We pulled in to this rest stop yesterday and settled in only to discover the overnight parking area is on the far end and not where the entrance is. No semi trucks allowed at this rest area and the rv overnight area was very quiet for the night even with the 6 or 7 rv's here. Picnic tables, charcoal grills and trash cans made it that much more comfortable and a great view of the solar tower made it a little more interesting. Downside is it's a little close to the highway so a little noise but expected. Quiets down at night. Cell service is spotty, 1 bar for t-mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Overall good stay, water would be great.

There were quite a few RVs when we got here. There is a lot of room for parking so no problem. It was not as noisy as I had imagined it would be. Perfect for a night and free is good. Dump station was not open when we were here.

While it's obviously right on the highway, it was very dark and you could see the stars very well. It has a huge gravel parking lot that was easy to pull into with our low clearance rig. Site has a dog run and park area with picnic tables as well as bathrooms and dump station (dump station is closed in the winter). We pulled in at night, but woke up the next morning to some amazing views of the mountains on both sides. While we had full bars for Verizon, we still had trouble loading stuff for some reason.
