A free site relatively flat and clean at intersection of the two highways. Traffic settled at night but started up early. Desert beautiful. Clear sky at night. Only negative was some jerk who ran his generator all night!

Located on the north east corner of the intersection of US-6 and Nevada state route NV-376, there is a large open parking lot for a rest area capable of holding at least 10 large semi trucks. The state has placed three trash barrels at the location, and the gravel lot is reasonably flat and immaculately clean. About three miles to the west is Tonopah, NV and a half a mile east is the Tonopah airport. In town is a Raley's grocery, gas stations, the excellent Tonopah Brewing Company (with pretty good barbecue), and a publicly available dump station at Tonopah RV Park for $10.

Between this intersection with US-6 and the Humboldt-Toyabe National Forest, you will find about a dozen similar parking areas on NV-376, state owned lots and access to open range and forest lands.

While there is not a huge amount of traffic at this intersection, this is US-6 and a major east/west route across Nevada. You will hear truck traffic at this site.
