Saw this on prior trip used it this time. Open areas large could hold many RVs but very few here. Felt safe. rest area has bathrooms and is well kept. Some road noise but not too bad. Really a pretty nice spot for what is is and the cost is right. You are about 13 miles out of Tonopah for services.

It’s a large open area I could hold a lot of RVs.
The overnight area is just beyond the restrooms. Only two cars, besides me and our RV .
There’s a large open grassy area behind the restrooms. Plenty of space to walk the dogs and explore the desert if you feel so inclined.

Great overnight spot 13 miles west of Tonopah on Hwy 6. Maximum stay is 18 hours as at all Nevada rest stops.
To get to the overnight RV spots drive past the grassy area on the right (it may not be obvious that the entrance road continues if there are automobiles parked - I chickened out and temporarily parked in the day use parking and walked over to make sure we could continue). The road is a one-way loop so you won't be coming out the same way you go in.
The overnight area is a large, paved and gravel area with sufficient space for 10 or more RVs (more, if carefully parked, but it is just a big, empty space with no markings).

Pulled in well after dark. There are 2 parking lots. The first is smaller. We went to 2nd lot near exit. Plenty of room for our 42'er. Interestingly, no trucks allowed. Can't speak to bathrooms, but the grounds were well maintained.

I stayed one night here in the east parking area by the entrance/exit on my way to Death Valley. There were a couple of camper vans and a fifth wheel sharing the space, but I never heard a peep from any of them. And the highway had little traffic after 10 or so. When I visited the bathroom at night, it looked like something had been slaughtered in there. But by the time I left the next morning, it had been cleaned. Tonopah is just 13 miles up the road, so if you or your vehicle need fuel...

Plenty of space to stretch your legs and walk the pup. We arrived at sundown. We had space to setup our grill and relax outside before going to sleep. Only 3 other rigs next to us. Close to highway, but not much traffic at night. Drinking water and dump area. You may want to use your own bathroom. Probably as good or better than many RV parks I have seen. We did see another large parking area towards the exit. Would stay here again!

Have stayed here 4 times and stopped to use the dump probably a dozen times. We stayed in the back right normally (where the overnight camping sign directs you to go) but once there were quite a few RVs in the area so we stayed outside the rest area, on the south side. We're from Las Vegas so this is a super convenient stop about 225 miles from home. (Plus I'm addicted to the BBQ Sunday at the Tonopah Brewing Co. LOL)
Dump is almost always open, only seen it locked up once.
If you park in the back where the signs direct you, don't be "that guy" and park your 50' long train parallel to the small grassy area with the picnic tables where you cover 2 or 3 of them at once. :(
If you want fresh water there is a fill near the dump but those always make me nervous when the fresh and non potable spigots are side by side... anyway, there is a fresh water spigot north of the dump about 100 yards or so. It's between the camping area and the dump as you're driving through the rest area, and this is where I ALWAYS fill.

This rest stop is so much more. Wonderful access, dump, potable water and picnic tables. Superior to many RV parks we’ve stopped at for one night and paid for.
Also so close to Tonopah and great restaurants to choose from.
Great cell service from USA Commet

On 2/1/23 water was shut off and dump station closed. Otherwise a nice overnight stay but for now find somewhere else to dump/fill.
